He's been concerning all year but his velocity appears to be way up and his location was awesome last time. If he's hitting spots, game over

Also I know the posts were deleted, but sorry classlessposter, indians fans would not be acting the way you are right now.

1. There are only 2 tribe fans who are conistently posting on this thread, so nice fail.

2. Even if the 90's indians were playing right now, we wouldn't ejaculate on each thread talking about them. You literally can't discuss sports without relating it to the tigers. (See: NHL thread)

3. With that being said, the 90's Indians had a FAR BETTER lineup than detroit's current lineup.

For the most part, the highest TV audiences are storied franchises (Phillies, Dodgers, Yankees also get good ratings) who also draw pretty well attendance-wise. It just happens that all 5 were playoff teams this year too.

For the most part, the lowest TV audiences are not very successful and don't have a long history of fan support.

What's sad is...the Athletics. They have a very storied past. They have been very competitive in the last few decades. They were very good this year and had the best offense in baseball. Their attendance stinks as do their TV ratings.

I hate pretty much everything Cleveland, but the 90's Indians were in their prime just slightly BEFORE the massive influx of offense. It was just starting and they were pretty potent.

Now, if they had Detroit's starting pitching combined with just Jose Mesa and a few of the other relievers they had rotate in and out, they would've won at least 2 titles.

They still should've won 2 titles.

Still inexcusable, especially the 1997 series.

If the Tigers were dominant they would have won 100+ games, and the reason they don't mainly is lack of speed and defense. Peralta is a below average LF, Miggy can't move, Omar has no range and Prince is well Prince. Hunter and Jackson are good but that's it and is a main concern since that is what usually wins tight games. However the pitching staff is pretty damn good
Thats fine. But that current lineup is 1-2, was shutout for 9 then 8/9 innings until yesterday when the cheater turned the season around. What are their playoff averages if we are going to go the route of who is playing now.

and I'm also not sure they have the best pitching. I easily take dodgers 1-2 over max and jv. 3/4 is probably Detroit, but who gives a shit in playoffs.

Boston though easily has the best lineup. Has all year. Scored the most, slugged the most, did everything and their pitching to go along with it is very good.

my issue with Detroit is the holes in their lineup and the fact so many of their players can be pitched to. Cabrera and victor are really the only two who can hit good pitching. Maybe prince. The best lineups are deeper and not so easily shutdown. The tigers remind me of the 2000s Yankee teams when they would get shut down in the playoffs by good pitching. We will see I guess.

Which is why they will be moving to San Jose. I mean just watch the game, they get all pumped up and do crazy stuff in the stands, but I bet few of them know each player on the team

My God....take a fuckin pitch. Most pitches in an inning for Wainright 16???

They are swinging wildly at everything...kinda looking like you'd think the Reds would, but the Reds just wore out Wainright (somehow)

Pirates are gritty.....this ain't over

96 pitches....I'd leave Wainright in if he ok's it. He's pitching great, is up for the game/moment and has some good luck going.

You don't know what you are going to get with the closer.....elimination games aren't for everyone.

Cancel that....Matt Adams just hit a ball 700 feet to seal the game.

The Reds stupidity (Votto I believe) freakishly hurt Allen Craig or Matt Adams wouldn't even be playing....and when we mercifully made fun of his weight.

Do you now rest both Wainright and Rosenthal in the 9th with a 5 run lead?

I guess letting Wainright hit answers that!
