Browns have a chance with Weeden if, and only if, he improves the amount of time it takes him to get rid of the ball (I don't think it's possible) and improves his accuracy on the quick hitters (possible).
but guys....THE BROWNS HAVE A WINNING RECORD!!!!!
Turner is going to have to dumb down the offense. In Weeden's good games last year, we also had a solid running game or at least we kept the opponents honest. Last night on that 70+ yard, 14 play drive where McGahee ran it in, there were 9 McGahee runs with a few passes. If they are going to be successful, with Weeden, THAT is the formula. If he has to pass it 40+ times in a game, we shouldn't expect positive results.
This team is set up like Pittsburgh & Baltimore were in Roethlisberger & Flacco's rookie seasons minus the strong running game. The defense will keep you in it. Just try to establish the run and manage the game. Weeden may not win it for them but for god sakes, don't lose it.
