He's a two-star recruit on both Scout and Rivals; I think that's partially because they're not sure if he's a tackle or a tight end. I assume he'll play tackle, and this is probably one that fits Brian Kelly's desire for more athletic and quicker tackles.

Still would like to have Matt James and Seantrel Henderson though.....

I think Brian Kelly is having an in-home visit with Henderson today. Cross your fingers.

Anthony Barr apparently committed to UCLA today. :(

He is going to be a stud. Better he's at UCLA than USC though.

Losing Tony Brooks' kid hurts.......bad (in more ways than one).

An area of need and a legacy. Damn.

From what I've read, his girlfriend and best friend (Rick's son?) are attending UCLA, and he chose the school for short-term comfort.

Gaining Christian Jones though would be tremendous. Apparently Matt James is going to bring his three-star quarterbacking classmate on his visit to Notre Dame; that's a good sign. Seantrel Henderson just eliminated Iowa officially, not like that's big news. I still think James ends up Irish and Henderson ends up a Buckeye.

i agree with you i think henderson ends up at OSU he hasnt yet been accepted into ND and james will be going to either osu or ND but more than likely ND due to Henderson going to OSU (more than likely). it sucks losing out on Barr he was going to be a good one. i just hope the irish can land Jones

Neuheisel's kid plays QB on the same high school team:

The article I posted also says Kelly is working on other recruits.

as expected giovanni bernard decommitted today, although we are still in the running...

id say we have about a 20% chance of getting him on nsd.

it hurts to potentially lose gio benard, but we are set at RB for at least next two years... he is pretty much good as gone, imo.

and BL was concerned about the 3-4 defensive scheme, so apparently that led to his decommitment.

Yeah I think Theo Riddick is going to be a stud after Allen and Hughed graduate, so losing Bernard won't hurt with Wood still having four years of eligibility.

Once again, we are lacking in the trenches. Notre Dame will never reach the top without an advantage with the linemen. We really need a miracle snagging Henderson and James and some defensive ends.

honestly, the jury is still out on whether BK is a *good* national recruiter.

charlie , inc. had the nfl and super bowl rings to lure recruits in, BK might actually have to start winning to gain an advantage.

in a sense, notre dame "sells itself", but it certainly is not like it used to be...
