Did he actually say this?

Libertarians aren't even technically anarchists, but they're even closer than Republicans ... to a large enough degree that the two parties don't even particularly get along as a whole.

Not defending the Republican Party, but Harry Reid is being a dumbass.

There is so much on the line for the hundreds of millions of American people, and we have a bunch of clowns in Washington who have given us no reason to believe they won't screw it up.
They paint a nice picture of the sky falling, but Washington has been screwing our economic situation up for a long, long time.

The absurd and twisted minds of left-wing central planners.

Time they get the hell out of the way of what is left of our freedom.

ENOUGH!
There have been calls from liberals to shutdown any and all energy production on federal government owned land during the shutdown. The regime has thus far resisted, but with them you never know as that would certainly become a major pressure point if they pushed it.

If that was the case, then he'd be TRYING to use deceptive, inflammatory language, but he'd mess it up, because he'd be a moron.

I don't think that's the case here. I don't think Reid is stupid. Maybe delusional, but not stupid.

It fires up their base. Liberals cream their pants over the hateful and vile language used to attack Repubs...but if you criticize Obama with kid gloves you're a racist.

I think the Dems are slowly turning American politics into European-style discourse, where inflammatory rhetoric replaces civility. I still think liberals are a minority of the Dem party - I really can't understand how two of the more radical liberals (Reid and Pelosi) came to lead that party.

I was there 2 years ago. I don't remember an area on the side of the road where you could pull over and see Rushmore. Even from the parking area, it was about a 10 minute hike.

Why are you using large font about a website that is nothing more than information about what an Amber Alert is being shut down?

I find it deplorable that the Obama admin shut down the Amber Alert but kept the First Lady's "Let's Move" website open. Only to reopen the Amber Alert once they heard the uproar over their stupidity.

They didn't shut down the Amber Alert. Amber Alerts are run by individual states and the nationwide database is run by NCMEC. The Amber Alert website that was down was nothing more than a website with a few links about what an Amber Alert is and how it works.

I understand as I read the link. I guess I should have put in one more word in my post to make it clear. I should have put "website" after Amber Alert in the first sentence.

It still is 100% retarded to shut down that website because of lack of funds, but keep Michelle's website up and running...how is "Let's Move" considered "essential" but the national Amber Alert website is "non-essential"?

In tough times you have to make tough decisions. Maybe it is better for the Republic if we concentrate on 100's of thousands of children at risk of being obese and on Obamacare.

Or better yet be outraged at the Republicans for putting the "full faith and credit" of The United States at risk while they have a Tantrum like a spoiled three year old over legislation that has already been passed as law and funded.

Drink the kool aid much?

The "full faith and credit" MAY come into affect if the debt ceiling isn't passed. However, the shut down has ZERO to do with "full faith and credit" even though Obama and the Ds are trying to make it out like it is.
