Agreed with Karen Lotz below. TP's QBing ability is not where it should be for a starting QB in the Big 10. I don't know how much his injury is to blame for the way he has played down the stretch, but he has seriously limited the things Tress can do on offense. The bad thing is, even though he isn't currently a very good QB, he is still the best option at Ohio St.

And he will be the best option in 2010 as OSU isn't bringing in a FR that can take the QB spot away from Pryor. Bauserman may transfer and that leaves OSU with Pryor, a red shirt FR, and two incoming FR.

Not sure that he has limited the things he can do when you have your RB's getting 5+ yards a carry during the last 1 1/2 months. Pretty sure the game plan is simple, run the football down Oregon's throat and hit Posey/Dane on the deep ball a couple times. Pryor is still learning to be a QB and I blame it on numerous things. First, his HS coach never taught him how to properly throw and basically just told him to go out, run around and toss the ball to an open player. No form and mechanics at all. Then he comes to OSU and has a horrible QB coach, sorry the guy is bad and not capable of the job. He is still young and it will turn around. I've seen progress in his game over the past 1 1/2 months and hopefully this will be a confidence boosting game tomorrow.

Oh I agree that he hasn't been coached properly in the past and he will once again be the starter next year, but at the same time, there needs to be a point where he gets past that and starts using good mechanics.

As to him limiting Tress and the offense, go watch the games again. At the beginning of the season Ohio State was much more balanced and TP was throwing a lot more. Right after he had the meltdown in Purdue, Ohio State started running the ball. A lot more. Since then TP avgs something like 15 passes a game. And when he does throw the routes are quite simple

I agree that Pryor may limit some things but the rushing game has been OSU's focus since the beginning of the season. Some injuries and rotations just limited the progress in that area. Early in the year there were rotations, guys injured, and illnesses. It was more than halfway into the season until OSU had a set line. The OL become healthy and bam 200+ rushing game every week against some pretty good rush defenses, two of which will be playing in the Capital One Bowl and Orange Bowl. The OL has some pretty damn good guys up there that are playing at a high level. Moving to the read option out of the shotgun has been a great move, I think Pryor is at his best in that formation or in the I during play action getting him on the move.

He will have his main targets returning, along with basically the entire line and the group of RB's. Hopefully we see an offense like we saw under Smith, Ginn, and Gonzo along with some hard running from Pittman and Wells.

Posey is very talented. He rebounded from that TD drop and had a great game.

Flash Thomas is also a guy that will see a good amount of PT next season as well, and Carter is showing promise.

But Posey should be on the level of a top receiver in the NCAA next year as long as Pryor improves on his passing.

Great game by Pryor, lets hope the coaches continue to show faith in him and open it up in 2010.....

Posey is someone who OSU hasn't had recently. He has speed but is also a big target. He has all the needed tools in place. Maybe not as much potential as Ginn because he was a real burner that just needed to learn how to run routes, but I would say that Posey is more of a football player than Ginn. To me it just seemed like they told Ginn to run as fast as he can and Troy Smith will air it out to you.

Duron Carter will be another good one. Not the fastest but runs good routes and had good hands when he played this year. Has a good pedigree from who his father is. More like a Robiskie type wideout.

Will Carter even return to OSU ??? I HEARD he Washington, and Thomas might all leave....Hope that was wrong info. OSU really needs them at the WR position.

Duron will be back. His father will make him buckle down on academics and he should be back in the fold in the spring.

Washington and Thomas I'd like to have back. It only adds more depth. Washington had a couple of key blocks today on the edge.

I bet Pryor can't wait to get back to Columbus and have that knee scoped....
