Salazar is limiting his pitches so far tonight. Probably get 6 out of him and then we will see Mr. Clean.
As a side note to that. I was watching MLBN before the game. They think Masterson cant extend himself as a starter with the injury, but can go full bore (even more than before) as a reliever. They think moving him to the Closer role might be a legit option. If he indeed cant go more than like 3 innings...I am fully on board with that.

I would be for using Masterson in that role. Perez needs to go. I am sorry that I forget who said on here that Perez will just do a "Mesa" to us in the end.......I agree with that comment.

If all 3 of the teams tie, they go to who has the best record combined as the #1 seed, which is the Tribe. Tribe gets the choice of 1 road game (facing the winner of the play-in game for the play-in game) at their place or 2 home games. Obviously, they would not want to play 2 games where you lose and youre out.
If its a 2 team tie, the head to head decided the home team. We would @ Tampa, but would host Texas. Easiest scenario...lets just get the fucking 1 seed lol.

No doubt we see Perez in the next save situation, but I would LOVE Masterson to be our closer for the remainder of the year. We have solid pitching even without him, and since our guys dont usually go more than 5-6 innings, we can make him a 2 inning closer when needed. Moves Smith to 7th and Shaw/Allen to the 6th when things arent perfect. Saves us an arm we dont trust, really.
