And Belly, normally I give you a hard time because you react in an idiotic/incoherent way and I think it's funny, but I will ridicule you for real now:

This is not the thread to push your stupid gun/political agenda. Go fuck yourself.

Pretty much this. For the record, the security guy at the front gate is armed and he ended up losing his life anyway.

The first few always will because of the element of surprise.

Sleeper I understand the emotional roller coaster you are on .. the lose of friends and just simple people you meet every day as passing friendship is difficult sometimes to cope with.

What ridicules is because of Bill Clinton our military base have one line of defense the front gate, what kind of stupid is that, after breaching the front gate it is open season before a response team can react. It’s a military base dip shit and should be protected at all time with MPs with weapons locked and loaded, trained soldiers with weapons doing their duty or training others. If you’re an Officer you should be packing you’re in the military take the responsibility to Protect and Serve.

This is false. This military base has a checkpoint at the front gate and each building has an armed guard stationed at the entrance. The area is also patrolled by police dog teams. You also need to note that although this is technically a military base, it's mostly administrative. I don't see how having soldiers walking around with machine guns would have prevented this from happening. I don't believe there is an easy way to stop the crazies.

MP's are just like regular police officers that you see around your towns. They cannot be everywhere.
Having random other soldiers walking around with machine guns? Not sure that really is gonna work either just like I think having some armed teachers wont help a whole lot. Unless they are absolutely EVERYWHERE it isnt going to be a whole lot of a deterrant becuase the people who do this shit are fucking crazy anyways.

I haven't read many of the reports of the shooting, but how in the hell is one guy able to take out so many ppl at a military base? I would think a military base is on the short list for the worst places to go on a shooting spree.

Ya would think, but there are so many civilian contractors there. I have been on enough bases to see how something like that could happen.

Security office did have a gun, he was shot, and it was taken from him. Derrrrrpppp go fuck yourself.

In a newly revised sequence of events, federal investigators said they believe Alexis cleared a security checkpoint with his contractor identification and carried a shotgun into building 197. An official said that investigators now believe that Alexis stopped in a men's room where he assembled the weapon and proceeded to site on the third or fourth floor of the building that overlooked an interior atrium.
Alexis, the official said, began firing indiscriminately on the people below with the law enforcement-style shotgun. After firing several rounds, the official said Alexis ran down a flight of stairs where he confronted and shot a security officer. It is believed that Alexis took the officer's handgun and returned to the overlook where he continued to shoot.
At some point, the official said, Alexis again left the overlook and confronted a victim described as a maintenance person or building staffer. Alexis allegedly shot that person and returned one last time to the overlook where he was ultimately killed in a confrontation with police.

Perhaps you didn't read my post; every building has an armed security guard and the campus is patrolled by police dogs. It still happened.

It's only a military base IN NAME ONLY. I mean yes there is a barracks and there are some munitions but its mostly just a complex of office buildings.

The security isn't bad but its not like you've got people armed to the teeth and that are on the lookout for crazies.

Man, that sucks, Sleeper. That'd be a totally freaky experience.

And I don't think Belly will stop posting here until you admit that none of this would have happened if Obama hadn't taken all our guns and then given them to the terrorists.
