Let me clarify something now!
The word or term “Global” before any other word is an indication of: Lies, fraud, deception and profiteering agenda.
Global warming: all of the above
Global financing:
Global hunger:
Global market:
Global peace:
Drill for oil and gas within our USA boarder and the resolute will be:
The world will be a cooler place to live, more prosperity for all, less poverty and hunger, better import and export trade and peace will never be achieved without education.
As long as other countries refuse to educate all their citizen and suppress the minds their population peace, freedom and liberty can not be achieved.

Changing wind patterns the cause of minor temp change ---- another crushing blow to the lies and propaganda of the global marxists (parading as radical environmentalists).

The city did a pretty good job prepping for it, although the trash situation could have been much better.

So its the city job (government entitlement mentality) to clean up after the Global Protectors trash the streets and neighborhoods ... have you ever been to a Tea Party Rally .... They take the responsibly to manage their trash and to clean up the area, no government additional cost required, no damage to public or personal property.Automatik;1657409 wrote:The city did a pretty good job prepping for it, although the trash situation could have been much better.

I don't know who's job it is. I'm not crunchy fuck, I just got roped into going from my friend's green g/f.
It was interesting though.

It is the job of the person who did the trashing. It is not my job, or the taxpayers job, or anybody else's job; it is the rent-a-mobsters job and their backers.

The city allowed the event. They already provide public trash receptacle everywhere, which are also lacking in some high foot traffic areas.
When you have that many people in one area you will need to increase the effort. It's common sense.
Ever been to New Orleans? Bourbon Street? It gets trashed on a daily basis, and gets cleaned up by the city. Who's responsibility?

Its the persons responsibility to clean up after themselves. It's the cities job to clean it up when they don't.

Unfortunately, the majority of the people who voted in '12 do believe just that. And now you know how obama got elected. Watch a few segments of Watters World and you will see just how incredibly stupid the me-me generation is.

Have you ever been a part massive mob of people? Let me tell you, they aren't there to play by the rules or to give a fuck to search out a trashcan to dump their latte cup.
I was there for the majority of the fucking day. NYC had no issue having a shitload of cops and barriers lining Central Park West for blocks and blocks. They should have had no problem setting up more trash receptacles. It's not even a big deal, that shit was cleaned in hours, but not quick enough for some media outlet to get some old fucks in an uproar about it.

Disagree. Too long. Kevin Costner had a few duds back then. But i don't think we should condemn an entire generation of Americans for Coster's mistakes. Besides, he's redeemed himself with films like draft day. The me generation should be commended for this oneAutomatik;1657533 wrote:Waterworld was on cable the other day, fucking love that movie.

What if the city just left all the crap and didn't pick it up?Rotinaj;1657543 wrote:All I'm saying is people should take care of their shit and when they dont the city is forced to pick it up. How is that retartded? Your examples aren't in the same Galaxy.
By creating such a safety net, any incentive that might exist otherwise will be gone. "Oh well, the city will clean it up."

Well I assume if the city just left the trash then it would never be picked up. Do cities not pick up an area if it somehow gets a lot of trash? Apparently I'm missing something here or explaining what I'm trying to say poorly.

I'm willing to bet that it would ... eventually.
Without the safety net, the people who live in that area have a limited number of options, really:
1. Don't throw trash on the ground (including, perhaps, not hosting events where large groups of out-of-towners would come in, potentially leaving trash)
2. Pick the trash up, regardless of who threw it on the ground (obviously, safety would be wise for glass, needles, anything with blood, etc.)
3. Live in filth
I'm willing to bet that, with some exceptions, either the prospect of #3 or the actual realization of #3 would prompt the residents to practice #1 and #2. Either that or leave. There would probably be volunteer groups doing it in teams even.
If not, why not let people who have settled into living in a trash-riddled area continue to do so? It would lend itself to forcing people to take even a small semblance of pride or at least safety in their neighborhood to avoid living with trash everywhere.

I think the irony of it was the cause for which the people gathered. It seems that many people who wish to draw attention to the idea of man-controlled climate change are those of the persuasion that we as humans ought to be more mindful of improving the environment and certainly not willfully contributing to its destruction.Automatik;1657544 wrote:Have you ever been a part massive mob of people? That being the case, it would seem odd that a group of people which would, at least in part, care about the emissions from my vehicle ... and who all gather together for an environment-related cause ... wouldn't "give a fuck to search out a trashcan to dump their latte cups."
To me, it does seem like a parallel to a peace rally where fist fights constantly pop up. Or possibly a rally to decry the obesity problem with countless partakers eating four double cheeseburgers from McDonalds.
The behavior of leaving trash everywhere seems at odds with the cause around which people would be rallying.
I think that was his point.
