Two phone to be announced:

iPhone 5c:
A6 chip, sounds a lot like the current 5 with minor changes. Will be $99 on contract (16GB).

iPhone 5s coming. Doubt it will be anything too groundbreaking, but we'll see.

I'm hearing fingerprint scanner built into the home button. That's cool.

I'll probably get the 5S. For the first time I'm actually eligible for an upgrade during the time of a new model roll out.

So it will be the most powerful chip compared to any current Apple device.

Didn't they always introduce the new chip in the iPad first? I know the 5 has the a6, new gen Ipads the a6x.

2 yr old phone, you shouldn't be too shocked. Also do you charge your phone at night? Keeping it charged all night will expedite your phone battery getting worse.

It's fine for the industry I suppose. Mine lasts about a day with moderate use, less if I'm streaming video or something like that with the screen on for a while.

Any release dates? Trying to decide note 3 or new iphone?

I've always been an android guy but thinking about changing it up for a phone cycle...

Hm, there'll be a 120 fps slow motion feature for video capture. Kinda cool for stuff like sports.

And it will have a fingerprint sensor on the home button that you can use in place of a phone passcode and online passwords (like iTunes). NSA loves it :)

5S will have standard pricing, $199 for 16GB on contract.

I think it's the same size as the 5.

The 5 is going away entirely, being replaced by the 5c.

4s (8GB) will be free on contract.

So to sum it up, 64-bit, new camera, touch ID.

I like the touch ID idea, especially if developers really embrace it. But overall I'm happy with the 5 for now.

I'm still on the 4, not 4S, the 4, so this is an easy decision for me.

Motorola did the fingerprint scanner two years ago. Customer reaction to it was terrible because people thought the government was collecting their fingerprints. Wonder how this will affect Apple? Probably won't do a thing because it's Apple...and people will think it's a revolutionary thing.

Really? I felt like that was a thing I used to read about prolonging laptop battery life. Does letting you phone drain all the way, or close to it once a month before charging also not help maintain your battery life?
