They're probably exploiting a vulnerability that they discovered in the version of vbulletin the OC uses and are attacking every site they can find with that version.

I looked back from emails that never seem to make it to my inbox and vbulletin mentioned a potential exploit last Tuesday. They didn't mention specifics of what could happen but I am wondering if it was the same thing. I deleted the susceptible directory, hopefully that will keep it from happening again.
