We go pretty much every weekend. Most I've probably lost in an evening was ehhh....$3,000, but that was house money. Back in June I hit for $22k in one night at Mountaineer on the high dollar machines. Had I been playing two credits it would've been $44k. I'd never take THAT much ($3000) of my own money and go to the casino. I put $3000 back into $25 & $100 machines trying to hit again and lost. Still walked out with $19k. Usually take $1000 or less to play.
I don't mess around with the penny games or stuff like that. We started with quarters (3 credits per spin) and I gradually graduated to dollar, $5, $10 & $25 machines. Bet big = win big.
The machine I hit six times on was a $5 ($10 per spin) Quick Hit which has a progressive. If you hit the three Quick Hits on the payline it's $25,000. If you hit three different Quick Hits off the payline, you win the progressive which starts at $2500. I hit five progressives (low of $2510, high of $2590) and one actual handpay ($2,000) on that machine over the weekend. Easy money.
That machine obviously hits a lot because they have a sign on it that they will be removing it from the casino within the next month....bastards.
