Who is this pitching?

Then send the other six up that don't have the speed to steal 2nd and save the one that does for that situationTerry_Tate;1495726 wrote:If the Cardinals score 2 instead of 1 then Billy Hamilton went to waste. The dream scenario of putting him on first isn't always going to happen. And it's not like he has never gotten a hit before. There is no difference in sending him up there compared to another half dozen players on the Reds IMO. Maybe just send them up there telling him to try to get down a bunt single. It worked out tonight to make it a tie, and I'm glad, but it's not always going to work out perfectly.

Thom, quit harping on you can't believe Heisey bunting with 2 out. I think it was a good strategy with a runner on 3rd, you don't need a long single. Choo just blew it! Now take a shot at the bunt to get on to start the bottom of the 16th, and keep the string going that the Reds haven't trailed at the end of any of the 15 innings so far tonight.

His point is taken though. A) you don't bunt at that pitch and B) you have nothing to gain by taking an extended lead.mhs95_06;1495765 wrote:Thom, quit harping on you can't believe Heisey bunting with 2 out. It takes a perfect bunt to beat it out and score a run anyway.

He didn't bunt that pitch, he only tried. The over extended lead was the problem!Azubuike24;1495766 wrote:His point is taken though. A) you don't bunt at that pitch and B) you have nothing to gain by taking an extended lead.

If anyone ever had a thought that the Reds could win in the postseason under Dusty tonight should just end that thought permanently.

I am not sure where the third baseman was playing at to know whether or not it was a good move at all. If it works, he is praised for having the balls to do, and execute, such a play.Azubuike24;1495766 wrote:His point is taken though.
