Reps...but only because it's the sad truth.

And the failed DP cost Homer 10 extra pitches, a 21 pitch inning, and 44 thru 3 innings.

How about Hannahan for Votto and Heisey for Choo about anytime now?

Why give starters a rest?

Dusty will think of it in about the 6th

Marlon Byrd has a 3 run HR in his debut for the Pirates who lead 7-1. Unless there are big changes in one of these games, looks like the Pirates will be a half game back and the Reds 3.5 back going into tomorrow.

Byrd has to be juicing doesn't he? I like Byrd and hate to be that way but he fell hard off the map, gone and now playing like an all-star?

He may be the best diving OF I've ever seen.....maybe 2nd behind Andruw Jones.

Of course Homer throws a gem when we score 9

If we scored 2, he'd give up 6.

Homer pitched very well and that's encouraging against such a balanced lineup in STL. However, pitching with a 9-0 lead after you have only thrown 1 inning makes managing a game a lot easier.

The most frustrating thing is Latos pitched well enough last night to win out a grinder game. The offense (and baserunning) was just simply awful in approach and execution.

Hopefully, going into Colorado the offense is ready. Good news is, Carlos Gonzalez still won't be back for the series.

Big time homer from Heisey.

Was as at the Bats/Clippers game tonight. Hamilton is very fast, but I was unimpressed by him overall.

I'll be there tomorrow night.

From the 2 times I've seen him this year, he leaves a lot to be desired on defense in CF and just overall handling the bat. A guy with his skill set needs to be a lot better at bunting and slapping the ball where he wants.

With that said, I also think his game will translate to the same or even slightly better production at the MLB level.

Wasn't a knock against homer individually. Our whole pitching staff minus latos would do the same.

Agreed..He's fast, but I don't see him being a great MLB player...I forsee him being an Otis Nixon type player.
