How many “empty nester” do we have?

Oh! I remember those first few weeks..
Wife cried about every day
No practice or game required to go to
Open bath room in the morning
Nothing to go rushing out for or events to schedule for
Not easy to cook for just two people
Time … more time I did know what to do with
Seemed I now had more money in my pocket
The credit gas card was half but the cell phone bill doubled

Wife and I. My oldest son is in the Air Force. He was recently attached to Edwards AFB and lived in Henderson Nevada. He actually worked at Area 51-but he didn't really tell me that in case any of you are secret servicemen. Anyways…he just recently was accepted into the Air Force Institute of Technology and now lives in Oakwood Ohio-which means his 2 kids-our only grandkids are only an hour drive away instead of a day long plane ride away. So-while we are empty nesters-we are also spending as much time with them as we possibly can because you never know where and when he may be sent somewhere else.
