But this notion that the human species has become so powerful that we actually create global warming - er - I mean "climate change" is incredibly absurd.
Our planet has plenty of evidence that climate change (warming and cooling) has been going on long before the Industrial Revolution.
The Industrial Revolution has been around a mere couple centuries or so. And we just now have the technology available to measure our environment. Because of that new technology we now have folks like Al Gore who think that in that incredibly short time span, we now have the "evidence" to justify pointing the finger of blame at the eeeeevil fossil fuel industries for causing this next round of climate change.
It's all a big crock of methane-emitting cow pies.
The sun is far, far more to blame for the natural and on-going climate changes that have occurred long before humans became so self-important.
Phoney man-made climate change is simply a tool made-up by world-wide socialist tools to justify controlling energy production through fees and taxes. It's a not-so-clever ruse to facilitate wealth redistribution plain and simple. And if they can also lay claim to "saving the planet" in the process so much the better.

It is a liberal plot to transfer wealth from first world countries to third world countries. The earth gets warm and the earth gets cold and it has nothing to do with what we do. Gore is a dolt, as is the people that believe his bull****.
It is not a tool or vast conspiracy. I have many a friends I went to grad school with that are now doing climate change research. And, while we disagree on some things, they have wide aspects of their political views. One is a very conservative guy from southwest Indiana.
But, they do not let their agenda get in the way of their studies.
I feel, like Gore, the few bad apples have totally discredited the whole process.
Instead the focus should be on, ok, this is happening, now what? How do we prevent the damage of say another Sandy, or how can we prevent a wide change in temp. loss to drive up say the price of oranges at the grocery store?
It is not some wide conspiracy. Sorry. Just nerds doing science.
