On a more serious note, somebody really screwed up if they figured out he ratted them out that easy. Almost like the teacher/principal immediately went to them and said "Are you selling pot? Johnny tells me you're selling pot"

Bus driver is suppose to intervene? Not sure what the bus driver's physical stature is, but (3) 15 year olds could whoop on an old man.

Old man or not...unless the bus driver is handicapped in some manner, he needs to jump in on this.

As for the social angle...yeah you can be sure it woulda been national news if reversed.

But I think there's some real validity to how he might have endangered the other kids on the bus by jumping in. I think first and foremost it has to be called in - you don't know if someone has a knife or gun, and if something happens to the driver then other kids definitely are in danger.

It's also not clear to me if he could have immediately responded when it started. Obviously he first has to pull over and put it in park.

I wouldn't, especially at 64. You are probably gonna get your ass whooped, and then get sued for touching the kids. Because the only way you are breaking that up is with some physicality.

Now, at my age, I might find it hard to sit back and watch. So I'd probably get my ass kicked.

I'm old and I don't care but I'm not watching any kid get stomped by 3 other kids. Was the driver white or black? ...anybody know?

Especially 3 on 1.

It might just be the video, but I was surprised those kids were 15 - they didn't look that big to me. I'd guess the bus driver might have 100 lbs on any one of them, and in confined space with the seats that a sizeable physical advantage, but not so much with a guy pushing 65(?)

I liked the video shockingly, and I work with many black people who tell me similar things, people give them shit for doing a manual labor job while they sit at home and do nothing

No way I think the bus driver should have gotten involved. His first job is to call it in. If he had intervened, those 3 easily could have seriously hurt him..then what if they decide to try driving the bus? Plus if he does intervene, you can guarantee one of those 3 punks' parents would sue for touching their kid.

These 3 punks need to be put in real prison where they will be someones bitch.

Also where is sharpton and Jackson?

I saw a cell phone video from the back of the bus, didn't see any other white kids.

During the beating, officers said other students shot video on cellphones and uploaded footage to YouTube.
The victim told officers one of his attackers had offered to sell him drugs in a school bathroom earlier that day, police said, so he reported it to school officials.

I don't blame the driver. He could have been hurt and/or sued, plus he would've been fired for sure. He retired 2 weeks later. The cop doesn't like that he didn't help the kid, but they don't show that much video. The victim's parents can sue the school system and the 3 Trayvons families.
