Sports Center announcers say "he should have been wearing his PF flyers" on occasion.

Looked up how much a pair goes for on an online shopping website.
Woah! $55 bucks for these?

^ These are the Bob Cousy edition.

The classic retro look is big right now but god damn these shoes probably cost a buck when they were first introduced in the 40's.
Hell of a profit for New Balance (maker of PF Flyers) nowadays.

Would you wear these shoes and pay the $55 bucks?

I'd pay $9 for a pair and only wear them to mow the grass.

Never could hold their own in a race against a kid in Red Ball Jets.

When you consider the build materials and other similarly priced shoes, it isn't really a decent price.

They are guaranteed to make a kid jump higher and run faster. And yes, $55 for those shoes is complete BS.

I've seen your regular Chucks go for well over $50+

I don't wear that style anyway....clown shoes.

I have a pair of the sandlot version(all black with the green PF logo). I bought them drunk my sophomore year of college. I forget how much I paid, but it was less than $55.

If Benny the Jet wore them to pickle the beast, then they are worth it.

You should email ESPN. Maybe they will correct their Sportscenter announcer.
