Must be bluetooth capable with a chargeable battery, mobile, and quality sound.

My initial thought is the Bose Soundlink 2. My friend has one and IMO its very nice. It can be had for around $300.

Buttt....Bose is overrated and overpriced? Amirite?

Other options?

I bought an Urge Basic on ebay...new for 40. It rates better than the Jambox

I haven't read much good about the Bose or the Beats Pill ones...the usual, overpriced..average sound.

The urge has nice, clear sound and connects quickly. It does lack in bass imo

The top rated one is by JBL I think...Charge or something like that.

^this one is supposedly made by the same company as the urge.

I too am also interested in a quality portable speakerbox for an iPhone. With living so close to the beach now, I like the idea of being able to take a portable speakerbox and sync it with my iPhone via bluetooth.

I *think* I've actually seen the one that wes_mantooth shared above (the Amazon link one) and I wanna say I was fairly impressed with it. I might need to look closer at getting one of those myself!

Anyone know if Sonos or Seagate Media make anything like this?

After some brief research, the Bose Soundlink is in the lead.

Motorola and Sol Republic announced the Deck last week.

Reviews aren't out since it doesn't launch til August. But I used one a few weeks ago at a meeting and the sound quality is great. Plus, it's very portable. Not sure what the price will be, though.

I guess I just need to go into Best Buy (or somewhere) and ask an associate and see if I can try some out??!?!

Price?
Everything considered?

The one I use is small, but the sound is clear and loud enough. It's called a BlueNANO.

Yes, with the Bose. Several times. Very nice.

Another option is a UE Boom. I like that you can pair more than one together.

yeah, I bought a cheap one as well (urge basic), it holds up pretty well compared to the jambox and the other overpriced ones.

I went to Best Buy to search out a $39.99 iHome speaker. When I arrived, I saw it was on sale for $29.99! I love the thing. Incredible sound when all you were used to was the iPhone speaker setting.

Monoprice.com has a few in stock. Probably worth checking out.

They typically have good products at a great price

well yes, it is a bit too much for the Bose. I have the Jabra Solemate, perfect sound, long battery life, good bluetooth connection and waterproof as well. i take it everywhere.

My wife bought me a JBL Pulse. I like it. The light show is gimmicky, but the sound is great.

That's what I got my son....I thought it was way better than the IHome which was hooked up on display beside it.

This was a deal of the day on Amazon about two weeks ago for $30. Definitely worth that price and reviews compare it favorably to the Jambox. I've liked it so far but never owned a Bluetooth speaker prior so I don't have much to compare it against.

I got a shower bluetooth speaker. It's an Inateck bluetooth speaker BP2101. The waterproof function is cool and the silver box appearance is awesome. The sound is loud. My favoriate unit at this moment. PS: the price is very reasonable less than $100.
