So each system kind of had their own thread going back around E3, but now that the dust has settled I thought it would be good to have a topic for discussing both systems and set up a poll.


As of now, which system will you be buying this holiday season?



The latest rumor from today is that around 3GB of the PS4 ram is for the OS, effectively making the Xbox One and PS4 equal in that department, which was one of my dilemmas when deciding between the systems (since it was assumed that it was 8gb vs 5gb allotted to games before today). We'll see if this rumor turns out to be true....


At this point I'm leaning toward PS4 if I have to choose, however I have 2 PS4's and 2 Xbox One's reserved with the thought that I may keep one of each and sell 1 of each if the demand is there...If the demand is not there, then I will just keep the one I want.

It's tough because I like Xbox Live a lot more than PSN (except for the free PSN games), and I do 90% of my gaming on the Xbox right now, but PS4 has been doing a lot of things right lately...

I wont be buying any until the new Elder Scrolls game comes out and it will depend on which systyem plays it the best, but my guess is the PS4. If I weren't chosing on that game I'd go PS4. Microsoft can GFT.

I won't be buying either of them for a few reasons but if I was it would be the Xbox One.

I'll be buying an Xbox 1. I prefer the online gaming on Xbox vs playstation.

It is going to be hard for me to justify buying a new console. Just don't play enough regular games. The last 5 games I have bought for PS3 are NCAA 12,13,14 and a Tiger Woods game and NHL 2013. Not sure if I will drop the loot for a system just to play NCAA Football on it.

Neither. I doubt I'll ever buy either one, but if I did eventually break down and get one it would be the ps4.

Not to mention that your wife would have to run around on a big hamster wheel to provide the electricity to your house so you could power the TV and console.

Don't use my PS3 for anything other than a Blu Ray now or Netflix.

I have a launch ps4 reserved but I may cancel. I didn't really care for my ps3 and I am gaming less and less

I had a 360 and only used it for sports games. If I were to buy another console I'd just go with whatever is cheaper.

In this case, the PS4.

I prefer PC gaming, though.

Xbox one, they seemed to have righted a lot of their wrongs and I'm a huge Xbox guy. Would love to have both but I'm a hardcore gamer and would end up spending way too much to play certain titles on each system lol

I read that PS4 is using more RAM to run 1 OS than Xbox One is using to run 3.

Gamescom is tomorrow, should be some new details and should have release dates and everything finally.

Rumors are pointing to a late October PS4 release...I hope that's true.

I figured it would be mid November, same with the Xbox One.

Yeah, I think that's what a lot of people thought...A lot of the latest rumors are saying around 10/21 or 10/28...If that's true, that would put PS4 even more ahead of the Xbox One in terms of sales because they would get a nice restock in before Black Friday, where Xbox will probably be sold out of it's first shipment and not available at BF. PS4 will be beating Xbox One in price by $100, release date by a couple weeks (rumored), and overall system power (slightly)...Could be a lot of PS4's sold in the coming years...

I'm still undecided...I'm basically getting a PS4 for sure, and possibly an Xbox One too at this point...I think...

Launch date is November 15...Still good, wish it was October

Still no date for the Xbox One...A November 8th date was leaked a couple days ago, but has been proven to be false.
