Awesome win. Beating Darvish. Shuting out Texas...ANOTHER shutout.

I would have givin 1,000,000 to 1 odds we wouldnt ever win 1-0 on a Micheal Bourn lead-off HR.

Tribe breaks a six game losing streak in one run games. What is that now? 3 or 4 games Masterson has won 1-0.

3rd this year.

He is 4-3 in his career in 1-0 games. That pretty rare, for only 3 years of starting.

Pat Shurmur would be happy with this comment.

Didn't get to watch or follow. Masty must have be sick. Darvish isn't too shabby either. Great win.

Too bad everybody is playing dead vs the Tigers. They are huge favorites tomorrow as well. Pettibone vs Porcello.

LoL. Fuck them. That's the same media that said before the year the Tigers may clinch by the All-Star Break.

I mean, he did K 11, but the headline should have indicated that he dominated but Bourn still won it

He may have been really good tonight...but when you only make it through 6 innings and get the loss...should the highlight be named after you? How about the guy who went 7.2 with 0 runs and 8Ks/1BB.

For example, the AP got it right. Headline: Masterson outduels Darvish.

Read this and thought it was a neat stat. Beltre struck out last night...it was his first K since July 3rd,,,,over 80 plate appearances.

Perez on for the save and hopefully securing another Tribe shutout.
Nice win for the Tribe, but I have to say I'm concerned about Smith moving forward--these hitters have him figured out now, and he's giving up some big hits.....GO TRIBE!!!

Sounds like I missed a great one. This was a very good win. Hopefully Ubaldo keeps it rolling today.

They both gave up the same amount of base runners i believe. Darvish had 3 hits and 4 walks. Masterson had 5 hits, 1 walk and a HBP. Oh and Darvish had 1 mistake, Masterson had zero.

Tribe is squadering a lot of chances early today, versus a guy who owns them. Hope he doesnt settle in here and go 7+.

Also, when Elvis Andrus enters the HoF, will it be as a Texas Ranger or a Cleveland Indian?

I'm never confident when Ubaldo is on the mound....even when he's throwing a 2 hitter.

At least he isn't at 100 pitches after 5 innings.

Honestly, looking back at how most of us responded when the tribe traded two solid prospects for Ubaldo, I'm happy with his performance this year. He seems to be getting some confidence back and his ERA is in the low 4's. White and Pomeranz can't even hang at the bigs. Could've been a lot worse. We could've traded Kipnis...

Perfect headline IMO

On an unrelated topic, I wish we had Jose Fernandez. That kid has some great stuff and already knows how to pitch. Not to mention he's only 20.

Ubaldo has usually been around 100 after 5. He is under 100 after 6, but is still shakier and shakier s the game goes along. Without our pen issues, do you send him out there for the 7th or not? And if so, how short is the leash?

He's only at 89 and hasn't allowed a run. You gotta let him go.
