I agree with going to 3rd - seems like in today's game they make that correct play way too little. On the 2nd point, my impression was Leake was having trouble getting a grip. That's one you needed to be at the game to see the whole play. Unless the TV people would worry about this game and show you instead of talking about all this other stuff.Ironman92;1478287 wrote:It's should've went to 3rd

Leake was ready to throw and Votto was still a ways from the base (no idea why)

Seriously have the Giants dropped like 5 fly balls in this series? I mean we're not talking full diving attempts or long runs...no wonder they suck this year.

The perils of the slide play! As in the BJ Upton injury play, it is difficult to rely on the resistance to the slide the turf is going to give you and hard to keep the glove in line with the flight of the ball.

I used to slide on that play to protect myself from the infielders but more so your head is still with a smooth slide and that full speed OF run to catch a ball at you shin is a head bouncing experience.
Regardless....Choo does it every single time on that play and he missed at least 1......but the anger by Welsh was silly...he even snapped at George. Lol
