Sorry for the shameless plug to my friend, but the website he just publically launched is pretty incredible. It's called Nifti (www.nifti.com) and basically what you do is put in an item you want from any website or websites, and it will track the price of it until it hits the desired price you set, and then they will email you letting you know it's at your desired price. All Free.

Basically I am using it for NCAA football right now. My desired price is $40. The lowest they could find so far is $52 so they haven't emailed me. They do show the percentage price change and all that fun stuff as well.

Let me know what you think, he is always looking for comments/critiques.

No. He's kind of a hipster. Not like a full on hipster. But like a new-aged one. Namsayin?

Seems like a nifti idea but it doesn't support the handful of sites I tried adding links from. If I can't use it for guns, ammunition, and bongs what good is it?

fair enough. I will pass that along. He is adding new sites every day (so far has like 1k sites he uses) but he can always add more. I will let him know. Any specific sites you want watched?

Haha, nah, I was mostly kidding. I just gave it a quick try with a couple sites I was currently looking at but they didn't work. I would be really curious how the site functions on the backend, or at least what sort of process they need to go through to add new sites. I wonder if they are tackling sites individually or if they can focus on the software used to run the site and knock out a huge chunk of sites with one pass. Say, any site running on Magento should be easy to add all at once (currently has a 25%+ market share of all ecommerce sites).

they got 800k in 'tech angel' funds. I think they are doing something unique or else they wouldn't have been bankrolled like this.

Oh. Someone invested in them, so they must be onto something. Nobody has never made a bad investment before.

http://camelcamelcamel.com does the exact same thing, albeit with a single website. (amazon)

It might as well be. I just picked a random SSD on Newegg and tossed it on nifti. It reported the cheapest price as 269, though amazon and several other sellers have it for 230
