Wow. This is pretty shocking. Wonder who his replacement will be? Maybe his former DC, Charlie Strong, Dan Mullen at Miss St?
There was an article in SI a few weeks ago talking about how he almost died on a sideline because he gets so emotional and keyed up. Maybe this is for the best... Ultimately, I think he'll take a few years off and then come back to another top program

Wishing a speedy recovery. Maybe he can come OC OSU, while he recovers

Is this the thread we're sticking with?
I didn't ever see him being a "lifer" at Florida, or anywhere, because of his health problems. He has a cyst on his brain that gives him tremendous migraines constantly. They were bas when he was at Bowling Green, got worse at Utah, and I can only imagine worse since he's been at Florida.

Would be incredibly douchey of Charlie Strong to ditch Louisville after less than 1 month. I don't see that happening.
Maybe they'll go the Utah route again and pull Kyle Whittingham. 5-0 in bowl games, undefeated season last year... the guy has solid credentials.

Ya, I closed the other topics (not to be mean). I was just trying to get all the discussion about this topic centralized.

next Browns coach? Might have had private discussions with Holmgren? If it is 100% health reasons, I applaud him for putting family first!!

I always thought he'd leave when Tebow left, but not for these reasons. Hopefully he can get healthy and come back here in the future.osu45804 wrote: Broken Heart from Tebow leaving?.... Someone had to say it first lol

One last bowl game with his boy Tebow...
Now we have UC sans Kelly and UF with Meyer leaving...
Whose going to garner the media hype
Tebow in last game?
Meyer and his health concerns?
UC/players pissed about Kelly leaving?
Hope Meyer gets his situation squared around.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up taking the Cowboys job. If it really is health issues then of course I wish him a speedy recovery, but I have my doubts.

I will say on the record that if he goes elsewhere and is coaching on the sidelines by next fall (without public knowledge of health issues being addressed) he will vault to the top of the douchebag meter.
