I love guns. Post pics of your dream guns, the guns you have, guns that are just generally awesome. Links to reviews, your own reviews, experiences, etc.!
I'll start us off with a rifle that I hope to own in the near future:

I don't have any guns and am not interested in ever having any. The only gun I ever had I blew out in college.

Why is it cocked? If there is one in the chamber and it's dual action (which i assume it is) why keep it cocked?TedSheckler;1471046 wrote:Just so it sits up.

There is one in the chamber. It's called "cocked and locked". It's a common way to carry a 1911. You don't want to be in a situation where you have to use it and have to rack the slide.
It is a safe way to carry a 1911. 1911's are single action.

This is my daily carry:

CZ 2075 RAMI P. Similar in size to a Glock 26. 9mm, holds 10+1 as pictured. I also have a few spare 14 round mags. Great reliability and I shoot it very well.
My favorite pistol that I own though, without a doubt, is the Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle:

Best stock 9mm I've ever shot. It's heavy, very low recoil--many who are familiar with it refer to it as the ultimate double-tap pistol. I can group an entire 15 round mag rapid fire from 20 yards inside 5 inches. And it's baaaaaaaad lookin'!

this makes sense then. I figure one was in the chamber but assumed it was dual action.TedSheckler;1471060 wrote:There is one in the chamber. It's called "cocked and locked". It's a common way to carry a 1911. You don't want to be in a situation where you have to use it and have to rack the slide.

This is the only handgun I may or may not own. I may or may not be purchasing parts to build my own AR15.

You'd be lucky to find one for under $1,200. Suggested retail from Kel Tec is just under that. Most are going for more.

My wife can handle a 9mm fine. We also looked at the Ruger LCP. It's a .380. Might be a better caliber for your wife.justincredible;1471125 wrote:I want to get something for my wife to learn with, she's never fired a gun in her life.
