Fuck. Them.
My wife just called me to let me know someone stole the furniture off of our front porch. Two nice chairs with a small table. Her grandma got the set for us as a housewarming gift 5 years ago. Still in perfect condition. And now we'll need to spend hundreds of dollars to replace them just to worry about the fuckstains coming back and taking the new set as well.

Stealing out door furniture is really lame. Next time, somehow figure to send an electric current through your furniture overnight or when not in use to shock any potential thieves, that'll show em.

...that sucks dude but at least your stuff went to a good home. Now Mike Berlon has some decent living room furniture for when company comes over to visit after he bombs at his next comedy appearance.

We had someone steal a dummy made out of a $3 mask, thrift store clothes and leaves off of our front porch around Halloween last year.

Run a wire thru a light switch to the furniture and turn it on at night.Fly4Fun;1466444 wrote:Stealing out door furniture is really lame. Next time, somehow figure to send an electric current through your furniture overnight or when not in use to shock any potential thieves, that'll show em.

My packages would get stolen occasionally on my front steps. So, my mom was kind enough to buy me a fake security camera, with a fake security sign that informed the house was under surveillance. Haven't had a package stolen since.

It's a shame that I'd need to "booby trap" my front porch furniture, but yeah, not a bad idea.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1466461 wrote:Run a wire thru a light switch to the furniture and turn it on at night.

Well its not technically that easy.. I was being facetious.justincredible;1466469 wrote:It's a shame that I'd need to "booby trap" my front porch furniture, but yeah, not a bad idea.
You'd need to put rubber isolaters on the bottom of your furniture then set the furniture on a metal plate and run a ground wire to that plate, otherwise a hot wire going to the furniture is uselesss since you're not completing a circuit.

I wasn't saying your exact idea was good, just that rigging it somehow to alert us if someone is trying to take it in the middle of the night isn't a bad idea.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1466476 wrote:Well its not technically that easy.. I was being facetious.

Is it covered by insurance or is it less than your deductible? I had someone smash my drivers side window and both mirrors before. They didn't steal anything but it was a couple hundred bucks I had to drop just because someone decided to be an asshole.

It would be less than our deductible. I think ours is $750.Raw Dawgin' it;1466481 wrote:Is it covered by insurance or is it less than your deductible? What you should actually do is cut your furniture in half, isolate each side, run hot to one side and nuetral to other. That way they have to touch both sides of the chair or table to pick it up. The currents path is then thru their heart and good chance it kills them.. which seems pretty just to me.justincredible;1466480 wrote:I wasn't saying your exact idea was good, just that rigging it somehow to alert us if someone is trying to take it in the middle of the night isn't a bad idea.
