Last season was pretty bad, imo. Hoping for a bounce back finale'.

Trinity killer season was GOAT.

That was a really good first episode.

Still think Deb is really annoying and wish they'd kill her off the show

Wasn't sure if I liked the direction Deb has gone in but now think it's interesting. If they kill Angel I will be pissed.

Agreed. John Lithgow brought it man, just an all around awesome season. Right there with Justified Season 2, Mad Men Season 6 and The Sopranos Season 6

I hope they don't drag on the pissed-off Deb storyline through 3/4 of the season.

I tried watching Dexter but found it's story progressed too damn slow. It's like they came up with a few episodes of story and then dragged it out through a season.

Really wanted to start watching Dexter but they took it off Netflix. Started Man Men last week, pretty good stuff.

Deb was cool toward the beginning. When she got it in her head that she wanted Dexter's nuts, she became less cool. Ever since she figured out what Dexter is, she's been annoying as hell, and I want her to die.

I actually wish Doakes hadn't been killed off. I liked his part in the overall plot line, though I admit that story line was pretty cool.

Over the seasons, it has had good villains and bad ones. Hope this season ends on a high note.

Trinity was badass, as was Isaac Sirko, in my opinion. Naturally, Brian Moser was cool in Season 1. I loved to hate Lila ... hated her in every way you're supposed to hate someone like that. I didn't much care for Travis Marshall, Miguel Prado, or Hannah McKay. I could take or leave Jordan Chase. Didn't love him. Didn't hate him.

Thing with Deb is, she could still have potential. In fact, it'd be badass if they kept the identity of the villain hidden until late in the season, only to find out it was her, and she was a serial killer. I dunno. I think that'd be good.

I agree with this entire post. Doakes made me laugh because character was so over the top

Agree with the post too. Except I was a big fan of Miguel prado. I loved the idea of dexter getting a "friend" and it was very realistic to think his friend would want in on the action. That was okay with dexter until he went a little too far. Dexter had to do what he had to do. Thought that was a great season.

I liked the concept, too. I just didn't like the character. He struck me as too limp-wristed a villain. The fact that he was an ADA helped, but still.

IMO,

Tier A+
1.) Season 1: The Ice Truck Killer (some may argue The Trinity Killer, but without The Ice Truck Killer, there's likely no series/season for The Trinity Killer. The idea was so original & fantastic that it will forever be considered one of the greatest)
2.) Season 4: The Trinity Killer (like I said above... very strong argument can be made that this is the best season of Dexter. John Lithgow was outstanding. One of the best season-endings of any show - because the producers actually had the balls to go there)

Tier A
3.) Season 6: The Doomsday Killers (Colin Hanks was excellent. LOVED the whole apocalyptic imagery/depictions of the Book of Revelation.
4.) Season 2: The Bay Harbor Butcher (almost put this at #3. Jaime Murray (Lila)'s hotness alone almost made this #3; just liked the whole depiction of the Book of Revelation from Season 6 better)

Tier A-
5.) Season 7: Ukrainian crime syndicate (hellllllooooooooo Yvonne Strahovski. Didn't really know her before this season. OMG is she a major hottie. Ugghhhhhhh)
6.) Season 5: The Barrel Girls case (Julia Stiles = solid)

Tier D+
7.) Season 3: The Skinner (this season was by FAR the worst Dexter season)

Great show. This season how i figured it would go. I liked Miguel from back in the day as a character.
Need to watch Ray Donovan at some point too.
