You know I'm all for that. Given that he's not a PG, and the 2014 Draft is loaded with SF's, I don't see him being around. I can see Philly pursuing a PG in free agency if they don't end up with another pick in that draft. They are in position though to possibly get Andrew Wiggins and Marcus Smart (if that NO pick is like 7th).

Oden, if ever healthy, is different than Birdman. Plus, you never know when Birdman's next technical or suspension will be. The fact that the champs ever had to even play Joel Anthony in a playoff game speaks volume about whether they could have any use for Oden.

Everyone gets T'd up lol. They're essentially the same player though. Oden has injury risk, Birdman has character risks.

Yeah, I guess it's up to Oden. What Miami can offer is self-explanatory. There's certainly room for him even w/Birdman given some of the guys who still got minutes up front.

Can't agree with that, Oden and Birdman are nowhere near the same player. Oden is WAY bigger and stronger and better. He has an actual back to the basket game and is a better rebounder, defender and shot blocker. Birdman is a great energy player, but Oden is a cornerstone, like apples to oranges. Birdman got his ass handed to him by Indy's frontline, a healthy Oden doesn't and is better than Hibbert and/or West. Completely changes life for Miami and fills their only weakness.

20 lbs and an inch yeah so he's bigger. Oden with a back to the. basket game? When did Oden ever fully develop that? All I remember him doing is dunking the ball really. With a basic post move here or there. Granted that's more than Andersen has

11-11-3 per 36 with good knees and just as athletic/active
15-12-2 per 36 with a horrible track record of health.

The Heat surely don't need the scoring albeit Oden does that a bit better, but Oden rebounds a bit better, Andersen blocks shots a bit better. I just don't see how Oden would ne clearly better than Andersen for what the Heat need. And Tyson Chandler also got beat up on by Hibbert and hes an elite defender.Oden hasn't played in years so.Idk how it'd be possible to say how he'd fair against Hibbert or any other big man really.

I agree Oden has potential But for a player who accomplished next to nothing, Idk how anyone could place him above Indianas front line

The argument is banking on Oden being and staying healthy. At his best and healthiest he is far superior to Birdman, and better than Hibbert who shot 44% from the field last year(he did show growth in the playoffs however). Birdman is a guy you can only play in stretches off the bench for energy. Oden is a guy who could start for them and play 20-25 minutes. He may only weight 20 pounds more but he is way bigger and stronger and protects the paint/rim better which is exactly what Miami needs. Birdman is a stop gap type player. This argument probably won't even matter until Oden can prove he can stay relatively healthy for a full season which he hasn't shown. Sounds like it will either be Cleveland or Miami though.

I kind of like the new F4F, not that I really ever had a problem with him before.

And I'm with robj, dont think Oden and Birdman are really close to being the same player.

Production wise (when Oden actually played) their production is actually a lot more similar than I expected to find when I looked it up.

Look at the per 36 numbers. And yeah Oden is definitely better offensively but the rest is close.

Dwight Howard is set to make his decision 'by Friday' -- however, he doesn't specify which Friday. Probably meant August 16th.

Losing Clark sucks for the Lakers. Now they will more than likely get some 36 year old to take his place.

All Jefferson, 3 years/41M with Charlotte.

Almost 14M per, almost a freaking max deal. I've actually found myself rooting for the Bobcats, but you draft Cody Zeller higher than you should have then pay this for Al Jefferson? Perplexed MJ...perplexed.

There's where the $4 million for Mullens went.
