Mike Miller cleared waivers.

I'm expecting OKC or SA. I wonder if Memphis will try and sign him, they could use a 3 point shooter to space the floor in the playoffs.

Most likely this. Either make him a literal agent and give him power to bind the athlete or do some kind of power of attorney document. I doubt it's anything difficult/complex. Although I believe some athletes do set up a corporation in their name to handle their assets and such for monetary advantages.

Apparently, Dennis Schroder is wowing people in the Summer League. I've only seen one game overall, and haven't seen him at all except in the Nike Summit.

Makes the 9M a year deal to Jeff Teague look pretty bad now...wasted cap space.

I've seen him a few times, tremendous defensively, even better lateral quickness than Rondo and just as long. Very creative passer and decent shooter, has a good feel for the game. The Rondo comparisons are spot on really.

Saying his father-in-law is in charge of the money is not something I knew, but it really doesn't lend any insight in to the kind of arrangement they have. His father-in-law could just be doing it as a favor and trusting familial relationship, or they could have something more formal set up.

But there as I was just trying to point out, there are different mechanisms to do this.

I don't think it's the media's "fault" but rather just human nature and simple economics. For some people sports is something more meaningful than pure entertainment as they develop an emotional bond with a team and stick with a team through the good and bad. But then for some people sports is just entertainment and they like to "buy" (by supporting with watching on TV, buying memorabilia, going to games) a product that is the best (or at least a contender for the title). Why would someone who doesn't have a deeper bond beyond simple entertainment waste money and time on a bad product? If I'm going out to eat or buying a new TV I will get the best bang for my buck. The "bandwagon fans" are those same people using that logic for their sports entertainment.

Surprised this wasnt mentioned before.

But a strong frontline for the Pacers is even better and even deeper now after the aquisition of Luis Scola a few days ago. They traded for Scola and sent Gerald Green, Plumlee and a lottery protected 2014 1st rounder back to the Suns.

Love their offseason thus far. Got rid of Hansborough, Green, Plumlee and Augustine while adding Scola, Chris Copeland, CJ Watson and Donald Sloan. Able to re-sign David West to a pretty friendly 3 year deal.

While Scolas best days are clearly behind him, he should flourish in the Pacers system. Especially considering he will be going against 2nd team units for the most part and will be playing 2nd team minutes. Pacers needed a lot of 2nd team scoring and with Scola, Copeland and Granger (back from injury) I dont think you could have asked for a better off-season for Indy.

The Central is going to be a lot more formidable next year too. I could see 5 of top 10 records coming from there. Meanwhile, Miami, Brooklyn and New York should rack up wins against terrible teams everywhere else.

Drummond/Smith/Monroe isnt really that bad for a frontcourt, But yeah they wont exactly be lighting the gym up shooting % wise at all as a team

He is a free agent (well, was). I see no issue with it. In fact, I like the honesty. Get a better coach, I'll sign long term. Don't, and I'll go somewhere I think is better prepared to win.
