I am so disappointed in the match ups this year. I really wanted to see Boise and TCU get a shot at the "big boys". What games is everyone looking forward to and what match ups would you have liked to have seen?

Really looking forward to the B10 top 4 matchups which are pretty favorable not counting NW (come trolls since I said it lol, especially cats, Knight, grass etc.)

Iowa vs. GT: Last years bowl game proved how much time can help a defense against the triple option.
PSU vs. LSU: Two teams that haven't beat anyone, played weak OOC, and lost to all the good teams.
Wisconsin vs. Miami: If Clay can run then it will be a good day.
OSU vs. Oregon: 200+ yards on the ground continue in an OSU victory.

I'd like to see TCU and Boise end up playing conference champions like GT, Florida, or Cincinnati. The MWC is already proving themselves after curbstomping two PAC10 teams, one which was one game away from going to the Rose Bowl.

Agree for the most part, but without some sort of playoff, you could just throw the 8 BCS teams (without Texas and Bama) into a hat, scramble them up, and the games would still mean about the same.

THe TCU/Boise game is total bullshit. This is just a move to keep the BCS and the powers that are in control safe. THey dont want these teams beating BCS schools. But what they fail to realize is that this is what people want to see. TCU/Florida and BSU/Cinci or vise versa would be better games.
+1

I can rant for hours on how fucking horrid the BCS is. I am debating back and forth to just stop watching the crap I am being served.

Uhm, because the old system with many years with multiple national champions was better? Didn't think so. Is the BCS better than a playoff? No. Is it better than the previous system? Yes.

Boise-TCU--> I was very ticked off when I heard this match-up. It just reeks of "let's protect the big boys" & "let's eliminate a 0 loss whiner" (meaning that it would be an even bigger nightmare if Cincy, Boise, and TCU all remained undefeated.)

Ohio St-Oregon--> Intriguing matchup. For me anyways.

GA Tech-Iowa --> oh gosh. Total yawn fest

Cincinnati-Florida --> Interesting to see how Cincy responds to the loss of Kelly. Florida should roll.

Texas-Alabama --> Alabama SHOULD blow the doors off of Texas

===============================================

Why are we even talking about the old system? It's irrelevant. Yeah it was a terrible system. The BCS is an improvement, but just because something is marginally better, yet still flawed, doesn't mean you should ignore the problem

Until people in numbers do just that, there's no motivation for those in power to change anything.

The majority of people are opposed to the BCS, it isn't really any secret. The "people's" opinion doesn't matter though. Its the college presidents and the BCS conferences who profit whose minds need changed

Perhaps so, but if I own a business where my customers keep telling me my business sucks, but keep giving me more money year after year, what should I do?

ehh you didn't include the 2nd part of my post and it shows you didn't read it. It is well documented that the BCS and the conference tie-ins make a killing. That is why I said they are the ones who need convinced (good luck to all of us who hate the BCS, right?)

I really wanted to see what TCU could do against someone like Florida. From what I have seen of them, they could hang with anyone. It is such a travesty that they are playing Boise......neither team benefits from that match up.

nobody benefits from the matchup. Every year there is the question from stupid fans who say stuff like "oh well Boise/TCU can't hang with the big boys, they don't deserve to be on the same field as Florida/the SEC" But when we have a chance to see this matchup, the BCS pulls it out from underneath us. Just screams conspiracy IMO

Rose- I want the Bucks to win but see Tress being too conservative and us getting burned on a zone read late in the game.

Sugar-Now with Meyer leaving I say Florida big. If Cincy somehow manages to keep this close or by some miracle wins, Cincy will get no credit for playing well in the media and it will all be pinned on Florida was distracted by Meyer leaving, Tebow's last game, etc.

Orange-Has the potential to be a great game, but I think Georgia Tech wins by 10+, can't see Iowa being able to simulate that offense in practice with the same speed and athleticism that GT runs it with.

Fiesta-These two schools get jobbed by playing each other instead of the big boys. I think this turns into a shootout but TCU comes out on top again.

Title Game-Bama's defense is too strong, Texas's offensive line struggles with all of the blitzes and containing Mt. Cody in the middle.

I don't understand how the "Florida is going to roll because their coach is leaving" argument works for them, but doesn't work for Cincy. Look, I thought Cincy was going to get beat before Meyer said he was going to leave, and they probably still will. But part of me thinks there is potential for a hang-over... from both teams.

The Florida/UC game will be the biggest snoozer, followed by the Iowa/GT game, and the PSU/LSU game.

The OSU/Oregon game could be a snoozer, and Texas will struggle to hold Bama's jock.

These are quite disappointing. The most exciting game will be seeing which Mid-major is better than the other.

I'm a Buckeye fan and I don't like this matchup for us at all.

With Tress's conservatism, I don't like any matchup for us in a big game

Who knows, maybe since he hasn't been to Pasadena in 25 years(yes, I know, he's been to L.A. twice since then, UCLA in '01 and USC in '08), he'll throw us all for a loop and come out with a huge bag of tricks and some wrinkles and make us all piss ourselves.

I'm not counting on it

I'm a believer in our team strictly because our defense. They are very good, and pretty quick. Assuming they can keep Masoli and Co. out of Buckeye territory, they should be fine.

I like our defense too... but if we are over aggressive that zone read will make us look stupid
