I believe it was the last time they swept a 4 game series in Chicago was 1948.

Bob Lemon, Bob Feller, Gene Bearden. Lou Boudreau. Larry Doby. The good old days.

Even after knowing you left out the (4 game) part it is still hard to believe. I was just going to refuse the original wording.

That's a crazy stat.

LoL what?

If they were 4-4 they would be 4 games up. Add 2 wins to tribe and subtract 2 losses and then subtract 2 tiger wins and add 2 losses. 4 game swing.

So 6-2 would be an 8 game swing.

Indeed.

And what's so hard to believe about the 4 game sweep at Chicago first since 1948? A 4 game sweep is QUITE an accomplishment against ANY team ANY time!

Tigers lose today. Tribe alone in first place on July 1st.

Hopefully in 3 months we can be saying the Tribe alone in first on October 1st.

The way the AL East is playing, both AL wild cards are likely to come from there.
Have you seen their lineups? Sick.
We'll have to win the division to make the playoffs.
