There was a good video on youtube floating around where some college aged guys would go up random people and ask "do you even lift, bro?"

Some pretty good reactions but never thought someone would shoot someone because of a question...

Anyone see the Gary Player special on ESPN? Talking about squatting 325 the night before the PGA Championship. Showing him doing treadmill sprints even today? Who said golfers weren't athletes!

I had some organic peanut butter for the first time in a very long time. I felt like shit. Not sure if I will ever eat PB again.

All PB messes you up?

JIF Natural ftw.

I haven't been able to really workout like I want, but still at it.

I'm having nagging pain in both wrists and reoccurring shoulder bursitis. Falling apart at 28, it's pissing me off. I need to see doc soon.

I've read more than a few times that organic peanut butters have a much higher mycotoxin content than conventional. Some of the additives in conventional peanut butters destroy that stuff, but obviously they aren't really good for you anyway.

That, and the super high doses of Omega 6, I tend to avoid peanut butter as a staple. I have used the PB2 powders though. Their ingredients are just peanuts and sugar. It can give a peanut butter flavor to stuff.

No, not all. I used to eat organic non stir PB all the time. I just laid off for a bit because I would get carried away and go through them very quickly lol.

Not sure why I felt like shit after eating it this time around. Maybe the long layoff had something to do with it.

My goal is to deadlift 405lbs by the end of the year. I'm at 370 so I think it's doable. I had a steady increase in weight with this lift but i haven't been as consistent with it over the past couple weeks. My goal is to increase 10lbs a month. I usually only deadlift once a week. I've also been using DBs more for chest and i've noticed my gains with the barbell go up so that was a plus.

@BR I saw a couple guys using that bench sling to mentioned a few months back. He was putting up 365 for reps with it, fucking impressive.

There was a point I was DL'ing every 3-5 days. I hit 365 for a double and 1RM at 405. I was stuck for about 2.5 months, trying different things to up that 1RM. Ended up taking 15 full days off from any real CNS exhaustion (deadlift, squat, sprinting). Came back and hit 405 and within 3 weeks (with 10 days off between each session), hit 425 for a single. I haven't tested it since, but at 170 lbs I'm not sure how much higher I can go. I'd say 3 things:

1. Most of the heavy DL's are freaks and spend years to get where they get, in-turn, some of their CNS response is inhibited (great for quicker recovery, not so great for long-term health)
2. Most of them are on PED's which will really enhance CNS recovery
3. Most of them do a lot more assistance work than the average joe

Regardless, if you're getting over twice your body weight in a dead lift, it's impressive, IMO.

1 is the goal for now. Once I get 1 i'll be working on getting it for 3.

I always seem to fuck up my back when I do deadlifts over about 225lbs so I tend to shy away from them. The most I've ever attempted was somewhere around 315, I think, which wasn't terribly difficult, but I fucked up my back on it.

Do you feel like you have poor form when you do them? Most likely thing is you're rounding your back.

Yeah, I think that was the initial problem that I seem to have corrected. I'm still a little timid with my lifts because it would knock me out of commission for a week when I strained my back.

You should start a homestead crossfit class. Good way to make money. Also free labor.
