How come he didnt out run them German bullets in the "Dirty Dozen" Im guessing in the late 60's American society didnt idolize idiot pro athletes like they do today and hero worship every single thing about them including the stupidity that comes out of there mouths. If that movie were made today he would have been the sole survivor and another tinsle town darling making millions in would be B movies.

Sleeper started the thread, there is no point to the topic

Do you have video of the football deaths caused by NASCAR? I'd like to see how they actually play football while driving the cars.sleeper;1457223 wrote:Amount of football deaths from the NFL: zero.

They say Fireball Robertson was listening to a Washington Redskins game on a small transistor radio the day he flipped and died and killed 11 spectators in 1964.

Ya know...it's always tempting to make a bad joke/cut-down when someone calls you out for a mistake. I used to be like that, too. Then I became an adult. :thumbup:sleeper;1458995 wrote:They play football with your wife afterwards.

Any relation to Fireball Roberts? He flipped and later died too. No spectators were killed in his wreck though.

No. Fireball Roberts' real name was Glenn Edward Roberts, while Fireball Robertson's real name was Edward Glenn Robertson. Kinda spooky huh?GoChiefs;1459081 wrote:Any relation to Fireball Roberts? He flipped and later died too. No spectators were killed in his wreck though.
Pretty good chance they may have been related though...they were both from the South and obviously had nascar in common.
