He didn't get killed at a NASCAR race.

I'd default to you on all things NASCAR, of course, but I think you're missing the forest for a tree.

I guess I must be.
Jim Brown says NFL has a way to go for safety improvements. NASCAR driver killed during race. Thread is implying that NASCAR isn'tthat safe after all as Jim Brown was saying?

No he's not. Sleeper's post was major fail. Nascar can only control Nascar, not some dirt track in Anytown, USA. That's like saying the NFL isn't safe because a kid in pee-wee football was killed.O-Trap;1457191 wrote:That's your takeaway here?

I don't think this was the point of the topic. I think the point was that Jim Brown is a moron for saying football is so much less safe compared to racing, be it NASCAR, Formula One, etc. I don't think it was a pot shot at NASCAR (or racing in general).WebFire;1457197 wrote:No he's not. NASCAR, hillbilly driving, circle racing, grown men getting off on engines...whatever you want to call it, sleepers point still stands you're more or less arguing semantics.

Former NFL Players will argue that many former players die because of the brain injuries they sustain in football. ALso Remember Korey Stringer of the vikes..but that was in practice and think was linked to some supplement.sleeper;1457223 wrote:Amount of football deaths from the NFL: zero.

I would argue that too if there's a pending lawsuit where saying such could net myself millions in damages. Still doesn't change the facts. :thumbup:thavoice;1457230 wrote:Former NFL Players will argue that many former players die because of the brain injuries they sustain in football. People don't go to NFL games hoping to see someone die...same can't be said about nascar.
