I'm not saying skin color had nothing to do with it, but I think the appearance "choices" had more to do with it.

Ultimately, Martin wasn't doing anything wrong. There's nothing inherently suspicious with dressing how he dressed, taking pictures with guns (a lot of guys I know do this, whether they're trying to be hard or they're 2nd Amendment buffs), having marijuana in your system (plenty of successful adults smoke weed on occasion), or walking. I'm willing to bet that these are the kinds of things that Zimmerman demonstrated prejudice about.
