I get your point. But at the same time...unless you're right there in the front row, you're not going to hear that. And if your kid does hear it, it's a chance for the parents to have a teaching moment with their kids. Just because someone is a role model, doesn't mean they have to be perfect 100% of the time. It's up to the parents to take moments like that to say to their kids, "I would be very disappointed in you if you did something like that after striking out."se-alum;1449559 wrote:I understand that part, but there's also kids there to see Votto cause he's their favorite player, then they hear that. The ball clearly nicked the line. By rule, that's a fair ball. It was about as close as it could've been to being foul, but the call was justified.

I will confirm what Azu said. There is no debate, it was clearly fair. Probably by an inch but it was fair.

Wrong. The ball clearly landed foul...on every replay. When a ball lands the area around the "divot" will crater cave in around the impact area. That is what happened.... The full "divot" that showed touching the outside of the chalk was a good 4-5 inches in diameter if not more. The "divot" was also oblong. How is that possible? A baseball that hits the ground probably impacts at less than 1.5 inches max. The graphic was very misleading...just look at all the baffoons that have bought into it here. My rant BTW has nothing to do with being an Indian homer. I was the most blatant critic here on Angel's blown call on Perez' home run against Oakland.Azubuike24;1449659 wrote:Did you not see the shot of the foul line?
