Detroit alone in tier 1? lmao, no. They're 29-20. Just because they have a stacked lineup doesn't mean they're the best team in baseball by a lot.

And definitely agree w/ "the Reds have Dusty; therefore eliminated from WS contention"

From Toledo. Not much of a choice.

Probably still beats us, but at least it wouldve been the right call.

He remembers. That means he isnt telling the press.

Please refer to the ongoing joke in "Detroit Tigers 2013" .

Lol, yeah, I guess our Detroit joke probably doesn't translate to reds fans since they probably don't read the Detroit thread

Basically, ClassyPoster was loving the Tigers with a few posts that he (and I think only he, until Wally showed up) was reading. Then the Braves played the Tigers and Karen posted and brought the thread to the top. Wes and I and a dew others have being joking about ClassyPoster thinking the Tigers as far and away the greatest thing since the Internet.

My favorite being when Wes said the Tribe was about to take on the 27 yankees and ClassyPoster going through the Tigers recent hot streak and ending the post with: "Sick Lineup".

Nothing that some ice, a couple ibuprofen and some testicles wouldn't cure ;)

http://www.toledoblade.com/sports/2013/05/28/Indians-Perez-has-shoulder-tendinitis.html

[LEFT]
CLEVELAND — Indians closer Chris Perez has tendinitis in his right shoulder and will be shut down from throwing for a week.
Perez underwent an MRI in Cleveland on Monday, one day after he felt a “pinch” in his shoulder while pitching in the ninth inning of an appearance in Boston. The Indians said the two-time All-Star has “mild” tendinitis of his rotator cuff. The plan is for Perez not to throw for at least five days and then be re-evaluated.
Perez blew a three-run lead in Sunday’s game.
While Perez is sidelined, Vinnie Pestano will take over closing duties for the Indians, who have lost four straight and six of seven entering today's game in Cincinnati.
Perez, who was slowed by a sore shoulder in training camp, is 2-1 with a 4.32 ERA and six saves in 16 2-3 innings over 17 appearances.

...not so sure Pestano is ready to be the closer....seems to be still working back into it from his time off. I think I would try out Cody Allen in the spot, until you are sure Pestano is back to form.

That's exactly what I posted this weekend. Allen's stuff is much better right now. Vinnie's velocity is down and he doesn't have his normal great command.

Choo or Phillips, would be my guess. Votto is also a high possibility along with the Pitcher.

Id say it all depends on score and inning though. Do we get it out of the way and hit Choo to start it off? Wait till we have an inning with 2 outs and no one on? Wait till the game is out of hand either way? Who knows...

I was thinking Votto or Phillips. I don't think they hit Choo. And I agree with the game being out of hand. Maybe they should throw one 5 ft over thier head first so they can say it wasn't on purpose. lol

Sorry for repeating...I missed your post. (was out in the woods in West Va. most of the weekend)

I agree with you 100%...the last thing I heard as the Indians radio station was fading in and out between the mountains was Pestano giving up the lead in the 8th in Saturday's game.:(

I wouldn't risk McCallister getting tossed or a suspension by being blatantly obvious and throwing at Choo to start the game. Payback is coming ...just don't know when.

Nice evening weather wise.

Typical for May 28.

I didn't hear the Indians announcers calling for Barnes to be hit in the temple with a line drive...odd.

Seriously cleveland is curse always will be. Why do we support three losers? This town deserves so much better but it never will. I as passionate cleveland fan there is and realize I'll never see a championship in my lifetime. I'm 27. Also can we please get rid of Chris Perez. The guy is a bum period.
