I'm STUNNED at the number of people who have chosen NOT to list Ohio. 1) I'm THRILLED Ohio isn't getting listed. I LOVE Ohio, and if everything was all the same, I'd still *be* in Ohio (but, unfortunately, all is not the same). 2) With all the b******* and p****** that goes on this site about Ohio, I would have thought for sure it would have been everyone's #1 choice.

I mean given that most people responding either A) live in Ohio, B) born/raised in Ohio or C) both, it would be somewhat hypocritical. I've lived in Ohio most of my life, and as I typed out my response, I thought about listing Ohio. However, I couldn't do it because quite frankly...it's not that bad...

I am shocked at some of the states listed...

I have a hard time listing any states. I've lived in several of the places, or at least spent time in numerous states. I can't say that I really hate living any place. I imagine there are areas in each state that I'd rather not live, but there's aspects of each state that are rather nice.

Nebraska has Omaha and Lincoln. Iowa has Des Moines. South Dakota has Rapid City and Sioux Falls. Kentucky has Louisville and Lexington. West Virginia has some great ski resorts -- great for the price and location (i.e., not Colorado expensive and touristy).

Tough thing for me to do here...but, then again, I'd live almost anywhere. The hardest part for me living anywhere is being away from family.

Haha I've been wondering this as well. I haven't gotten to really travel the state but the area I live in (Huntsville/Madison) is awesome.

Also, if Michigan was only below the 43 latitude, it would be on the list, but above that would be in my top ten placed I would live.

Agreed. I actually am very fond of Ohio and glad I grew up here. It's really the perfect place. There's a little bit of almost every kind of good weather, with very little of the bad; there are very few if any insects, amphibians or arachnids that can kill you; a relatively low threat of being murdered; and it's a perfect place to raise a family, even though I hate the concept of having a family and never want kids. The only thing I don't like about the state are the sports teams lol. Although, I don't mind any of the pro teams now that LeBron is gone.

While I love to travel and get away as much I can to see the world, I love Ohio.

I only listed 10, but if I listed all the places I wouldn't live Ohio would definitely make the list.

Hope this helps /dlazz'd

I'm impressed that you didn't put your reasoning. "Hippies. Democrats. Blah. Blah. Blah."

Honestly thought you'd list states with a majority of black residents.

O god yes. I remember my first trip here that was a bitch. I always thought some of the interchanges in Columbus were bad but that one and also the one for 255 are worse haha. At least people here are nicer to let you over then in Columbus.

The "culture" of California is about as diverse as anywhere else one could mention. What are you referencing when you use the term?

1. Pennsylvania - they don't sell beer in gas stations or stores...you have to buy it at a bar.
