Unbelievably bad foul call in the New Mexico - SDSU game. Lobos shit all over themselves down the stretch, though. 41-25 lead with 11 minutes left and lose 51-48. And that includes 3 meaningless points at the buzzer.

They had a week off due to the nature of the HL tourny (1-2 seeds get two automatic byes).

I still think they'll get a bid.

I agree that Green Bay deserves a bid. They did exactly what the committee asks by playing a tough OOC schedule and then took care of business by beating Virginia. That has to count for something.

What Green Bay has going for it is absolute mediocrity across the board in college basketball, as far as "the bubble" is concerned. There are a lot of very average teams still in the hunt right now. Green Bay is better than most of them.

Nothing about Green Bay's resume says "in" to me.

Essentially only 21 wins (3 non-D1 wins won't even be considered). Weren't completely dominant in conference play. Didn't even reach the conference title game. Only 1 top-50 win. 3 sub-100 losses and another to Eastern Michigan. What's the big selling point?

They played Whisky pretty close and beat Virginia.

I'm not saying they're awesome, but probably better than some other at-large schools

Like I said, as a Horizon League team with six losses, including at home in the conference tournament semis, I agree that Green Bay has little chance to get an at-large. I just don't see it.

However, Green Bay more than flexed its competitive muscle in the non-conference against Virginia (75-72 win) and Wisconsin (69-66 loss). The inside-out combo of Alec Brown and Keifer Sykes is as good as there is. Those guys are studs. I have no doubt they'd be able to give a 4 or 5 seed a run for their money in the first round and perhaps even win a game or two. They are built perfectly for such a run.

Unfortunately, they probably lost one too many games to bad opponents (twice to Milwaukee, Eastern Michigan, Valpo).

UCLA just got trampled by 10-win Washington State. Can't be a good thing for seed stock. Bruins conclude regular-season losing 3 of 5.

Wright State might get to the big dance. They're facing Milwaukee at HOME on Tuesday in the Horizon championship because they're the highest remaining seed. WSU split the regular season meeting, but has been excellent at home.

I'm working on my own bracket prediction. Very interesting. The Pac 12, SEC, Atlantic 10 and Big East are a mess. A shit load of average teams after the top 1 or 2 teams. On the other hand, the B1G, ACC, AAC and Big XII are very clear cut except maybe 1 bubble team from each.

The Mountain West, Missouri Valley, WCC and C-USA, all typical leagues that might "steal a bid", are all VERY clear cut. Barring a tournament upset, none of those leagues are going to get any surprise bids. SDSU, UNM, Wichita, Gonzaga and USM/MTSU/LT are going to be the only bids. Many of the other preseason bubble contenders from these leagues (Indiana State, UNLV, Boise State, BYU, St. Mary's, etc...none have done enough).

Damn, Kansas is going to have ok state (assuming they beat Texas tech) on Thursday in their first tourney game. Then Iowa state or k state after that.

Going to be tough to win bill selfs seventh tourney title.

K-State is playing like shit. They are team with a bad loss, may find themselves out. IMO, they should be nervous because Okie State and Baylor are playing better and Texas has a better resume.

I don't see the Big XII getting 7. One of these teams (KSU, OSU, BAY, UT) is going to miss out.

I think all of those teams are in. Baylor was shaky but they've proved the last few games they are a tourney team. No doubt.

Texas out? No way.

Ok state could be in trouble but they'll add another win Wednesday then get a chance to take down a very vulnerable Kansas team.

K state is in.

KSU has 7 top 50 wins. No way they're getting left out in favor of teams like Providence, Minnesota, Tennessee, Nebraska, St. John's, etc.

Couldn't disagree more. Kansas state is a tourney team. Now they're not doing anything to help their seeding but they're not going to be left out because they lose to a team that was ranked all season.

I have no dog in this fight. However, just looking at ESPN's projections, K-State is a 12-seed in the play-in game. One of the last 3 or 4 teams in. A first round loss and a few wins from other teams could put them in trouble.

I definitely agree about Providence, Minnesota and Nebraska. Those teams aren't very impressive and K-State would get in over any of them, even with a loss.
