He simply was all athlete last year, which was fine. But he, imo, was never going to be able to improve on a lottery pick (same with McGary) because neither are NEARLY good enough to play as the star. They're not going to be asked to be the #1 option in the nba, so they can still benefit an nba team. But yeah, their draft stock wouldn't have ever been higher than what it was last season. Stupid to come back.

Got damn. Hanlan is another guy I forgot. Without question a top ten point guard in college basketball. Aside from possibly Marcus Smart, there isn't a more talented scorer at the position than Hanlan. I made my list way too quickly. Then again, it's hard to fit all of this year's point guards into a ten man list. There are just so many viable options from which to choose.

As for Craft, I have personally never liked the kid's game as much as the experts seem to, as I don't think he adds much value offensively -- at east nowhere near enough to be considered elite -- but because of the other intangibles that Azu spoke about above, I included him. There were many preseason outlets that named Craft First Team All-American. Talk about exaggeration.

I wasn't a believer either, that's why I thought he should come back. The thought would be that he'd improve, not showcase his flaws.

19 of Michigan's 69 points last night came in the final two minutes (garbage time). Credit to Duke's defense and Michigan's horrendous offense.

Also, Michigan's late surge was not enough to cover the Over (151). Beilein is pissed.

Hanlan is definitely a point guard. He played that position all last year. With that said, I've only seen Boston College play one game so far this season, so perhaps he's been playing more off the ball lately. But he was handling the duties most of the time when I watched them.

And it's interesting to see Kevin Pangos on that list. With the season he's having, I'd have to revise my list again to include him. He's been great. With David Stockton playing so much point guard for the Zags this year, and Pangos playing a lot of two-guard, I sort of dismissed him in this category.

Hard to tell at this point in the season. What MSU does have that OSU does not, is a legit big man in the middle in Payne. He is very good on both ends. I think OSU is more skilled at other positions. And I think OSU is/could be better defensively. But its a long season and still kind of early to determine who is better. Its close though.

Can't believe I'm going to lose my 3-game teaser tonight because of North Carolina. Had Toledo at -2.5, Ohio State at -2 and Michigan State at -2. North Carolina is my least favorite school in the world.

Why is it that Roy Williams can't beat Belmont or Birmingham, but has no problem at all against the #3 and #2 teams in the country? Riddle me that shit.

I don't care what anyone says, Michigan State is not anywhere close to the No. 1 team in the nation. It's a joke. I've watched them play several times now, and based on tonight and the down-to-the-wire game with Columbia in which Columbia was within one possession with under a minute to play, I've seen all I need to see.

Not surprising. MSU is typically a slow starting team early in season. So if you are going to get them, now is the time as we all know by seasons end, Izzo will have them peaking.

This is true. See the loss to Grand Valley State at home in the pre-season a few years ago. Tom Izzo's teams are notorious for their slow starts. But come on. They are getting embarrassed by a less-talented team that has, let's face it, struggled mightily this season due to its youth. This is a veteran Spartan team that is supposed to be a title favorite. At this point, it is my wallet talking -- haha -- but still.

Should've had more faith in Toledo or just bet on the Buckeyes. Just don't like 10-point spreads between two teams like Maryland and Ohio State. You just never know.
