Just received this letter they sent to alumni.

Members of the Campus Community,

Today, we share with the Mount Union family that Larry Kehres has decided to step down as head football coach. Larry will remain with the institution as the director of athletics, while Vince Kehres has been named head football coach effective immediately. I know you will join me in congratulating Larry for the unparalleled success he has achieved during his coaching career. His impact on Mount Union has been dramatic, and the entire Raider family will clearly miss him on the sideline. I also thank you in advance for your continued support of the football program as Vince carries on its outstanding tradition. We are proud and fortunate to have him take our program forward, and he is well-prepared and ready for this opportunity.
A news release will go out shortly to the media announcing this transition, but we wanted to be certain to deliver the news first to all our Purple Raiders.
Go Raiders!
Sincerely,
President Richard Giese

Hopefully nothing health related and he just felt it was his time. There will never be another coach like him. Hopefully Vince can keep the machine rolling...

I love that I had the opportunity to play for coach kehres. He is a great person who took no shit from anybody lol. I'm a little skeptical of Vince taking over but no doubt the machine will keep on rolling.
