I'm just hoping for Atlanta not to get swept. Sucks this isn't a weekend series.

McCann comes off the DL tomorrow and will probably start. Will be interesting to see what Fredi does with the lineup. Maholm is going for the Braves, so it will be two soft tossing guys. Could be a HR derby.

If a pop up off the end of the bat goes out to left, you're probably correct.

Arroyo vs Maholm. Over/under on pitches under 75 MPH. I'll set the line at 17...

he's either in the minors somewhere or on the DL still, I know he isn't close to a return yet

I'll be interested to see what the Braves do with the lineup.

Does Gattis sit? With three righties going, is Juan Francisco available? In GABP and because of the pitching, he would definitely be a better option than Johnson.

IMO, I think the Reds benefit if the Braves throw McCann right in there at catcher. I also like the pitching match-ups in 2 of 3 games (sans Wednesday).

Should be a good series. I'll predict the Reds taking 2 of 3. Big series for Votto and Frazier.

Anyone paying attention to these Stanton rumors? Interesting

I say go for it.

Now that the Marcell Ozuna era seems to have begun in earnest for the Miami Marlins, slugger Giancarlo Stantonis clearly expendable.
LOL. What?

I mean, I'd throw a lot at the Marlins to get Stanton, but it was hard to take that piece seriously when it leads off with Stanton being expendable.

I can see him expendable in the sense that everyone in Miami's front office has to know that the second his contract is up, he's getting the fuck out of there and going to a franchise not run by a lying piece of shit. But I don't know off the top of my head how long he's jailed in Marlin-ville, which would determine if he's "expendable" this year, next year or a couple years down the road.

Francisco I don't think will play, they were debating putting him on the DL to open a spot for McCann. He rolled his ankle maybe Wednesday last week. They sent down Pastornicky instead though so maybe Juan will be available to pinch hit. Which Johnson are you referring to? Chris? He's been pretty good and is still hitting around .340 and plays a better 3rd base.

Gattis can play left and move Upton over to right but I'm not sure if Fredi will do that. I think McCann will be fine against Arroyo. I'll take my chances with every pitching matchup too.

Obviously Chris Johnson, because he's going to go at 3B every game if Francisco doesn't.

Gattis in LF, bring that on. I expect a wide open scoring game tonight. It will tighten up tomorrow and Wednesday, watch out for Leake to implode (he was good last Friday, time for a typical 5 run, 5 inning game).

IMO, the 2 best teams in the NL, even though the Giants will probably win the damn WS again...

It's funny because it's true!

ps: I'll take the under. (Mainly because I suspect one will make an early exit.)

Dusty starting Robinson in LF and batting him 8th. Cozart hitting 2nd.

On the season...Robinson 4 walks in 18 AB. Cozart 7 walks in 129 AB.

If you're going to start Robinson, why not hit him 2nd and hit the guy who has some potential to drive in runs (that's all Cozart can do) 8th?

Clueless Dusty.

Cozart will hit 2nd the whole year unless he gets injured. It's just how dusty works, doesn't give a shit how bad someone is.

Robinson can't hit 2nd if he doesn't play SS.
