I believe he was calling Belly's response political. That post has since been removed from this thread.TedSheckler;1428091 wrote:Are you calling my post political? Because it's not.

No. You didn't see the post that I removed. If I thought yours was political I would have unapproved it or moved it to the other thread.TedSheckler;1428091 wrote:Are you calling my post political? Because it's not.

I loved that the singer just put the microphone at his side so that the crowd could all sing. Gave me chills.Scarlet_Buckeye;1428119 wrote:How cool was the National Anthem at the Boston Bruins game following tragedy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A very emotional and fitting tribute.

Part of me feels sad, though. I think the crowd should sing the Anthem like that all the time, not just after something like this.

I fucking hate the media. I'm to the point where I don't even want to click links for new "developments."

If I were those two kids, I'd be suing NY Post for a nice sum. Should be more than enough to pay for college.TedSheckler;1428150 wrote:How about this screw up?

If I was the one kid I'd use the money to change my name from Salaam to Sam (as in Uncle...) in a heartbeat.gut;1428328 wrote:If I were those two kids, I'd be suing NY Post for a nice sum. Should be more than enough to pay for college.

I hope he takes it all the way to jury trial and goes for the absolute max. It's a shame the writer and editor can't be charged criminally.Tiernan;1428335 wrote:If I was the one kid I'd use the money to change my name from Salaam to Sam (as in Uncle...) in a heartbeat.

We can laugh at some of the mistakes the media has made, but there's absolutely no excusing this one. One of the gravest, most heinous errors they can make. And all involved need to be taught a serious lesson.

Shit, college and a life of some degree of luxury is what I'd go for! If the Post is going to set new standards for irresponsible stupidity (which is getting harder and harder for them to do this week), might as well set the punitive damage bar high enough to hurt them to the Chapter 13 level.gut;1428328 wrote:If I were those two kids, I'd be suing NY Post for a nice sum. Realistically, $250k is probably fair and reasonable...get the right jury and it could easily be into several million - comes down to how punitive the jury wants to be.Heretic;1428410 wrote:might as well set the punitive damage bar high enough to hurt them to the Chapter 13 level.
That's why I hope he doesn't settle. To really punish the NY Post, in particular, and help prevent similar incidents in the future, we NEED a public trial with lots of press coverage.
