When I find out that some of my students were born when I was in high school.

After throwing a round of BP to our players, I couldn't move my arm the next 2 days.

In a side note to that comment.

WHen I started coaching about 8-9 years after I played I noticed one thing about batting practice. Teams expect the coaches to throw it instead of them players themselves. Back in the day you were on the bucket, then pitch to a guy, then on deck, and then hit!

We did have former players come in and throw BP when we got to the districts regionals and state but during the season it was on the players to do it. I think he helped with arm strength and accuracy of the players..something everyone can use. The ole response "I cannot throw strikes" didnt fly...you threw BP and you threw strikes. THere was no excuses.

but I digress.

Found out my neighbor who has a mortgage and just had his second child today was born in the 1990s.

My baby sister started to get letters from colleges. That made me feel pretty old. I moved away from home when she was a toddler, so it's weird to think that she's old enough to be looking into colleges.

I was watching music videos this morning and they did a spot on Hanson...that terrible band of 3 brothers...and they're all old now. The interview said they have 9 kids between the 3 of them...and their wives of course.

That made me feel a bit old.....and that high school seniors graduating this year were born in or around the year I graduated. That'll do it too.
