I'm not even old yet, but when girls born in 1997 start picking up birth control pills at the pharmacy, it kind of makes you step back a second.

Out of the loop.

I'm 25, but I felt old when I coached hs kids who were born in the mid 90's.

At 63 years old I’m still “limited young”

Feeling old comes and goes … you learn to take the good and the bad of aging
My basketball and softball career stopped a few years ago but I picked up pistol shooting
I can’t split wood all day like I use to do but I still get the job done before winter comes.
When I got Cancer it became a reality that taking care of myself is more important now and I’m not invincible as I once thought. But then again I beat the Cancer and it hasn’t come back.

Part of getting old is the recurring pain of your youthful days and as painful as it is it makes your soul feel young.

Agree, that's one of two - the second one being when walking around a college campus all of the students look like kids.

Had a similar conversation with some kids who never heard of Nolan Ryan.

When the lady in the check out line with three kids looks hot :D

When they took Duke Beer off the market

When the wife and I have sex only twice a week now and I can remember what days those are scheduled </SPAN>

When you drink two cups of coffee and piss three :)

When your granddaughter track coach is your old trach coach grandson ..ouch :D
Note: His dad gave him all the school records books and times of every track meet I ran and he gave them to me ... that was very cool. Coach died a few years ago ... sad day I felt old that day.

When you&#8217;re sleeping on the back porch and your daughter wakes you up to make sure you're not dead

I think I get constant reminders of how old I am. The latest was when I went with my daughter and her boyfriend to see a band at a bar. We got right up front by the stage and it was so damned loud...

I heard "Ruff Ryders Anthem" by DMX via the old-school rap station on XM yesterday. At first I thought I was on the wrong channel, but then I realized that song came out 15 years ago.

It is funny when they start playing music you love on the "oldies" channel.

I've been getting debilitating hangovers lately. I'm sure that is a result of aging.

Does it get worse?

I don't know if I've had A MOMENT, since I'm a first-team all-american in the field of self-delusion, but I do have all sorts of little moments. Like when I have to take a day off from exercising because I pulled a muscle a bit and don't want to aggravate it. Or knowing that I have to stick to my diet because metabolism isn't on my team like it used to be (the first weekend of the NCAA tournament took me from 166.2 to 171.8 thanks to four days of drinking heavily and then gorging myself on junk).

But other stuff doesn't register. I still stay up late without any trouble...because I have flexible hours at work and don't need to be there early in the morning most days. I do have to ungray my hair monthly, but due to genetics, I was doing that in my mid-20s. Stopped when I was fat, but now that I'm thin(ner) again, vanity takes precedent. Part of it probably the losing weight, though. A person feels younger when they're not carrying around an extra 70-80 pounds just due to being able to move normally.

I don't have that problem.

You could try a couple things. Either drink a big glass of water immediately before falling asleep. Also, could go to the herbal supplement section of a grocery store and buy milk thistle capsules. That stuff supposedly helps the liver process things better and when I've popped a couple before drinking, it does seem to work. At least as long as you don't regularly use them.

Hangovers are (usually) a combination of the brain recovering from alcohol withdrawal and dehydration. The only "effective" way to combat it is fluids.

Just pound a Gatorade before bed and you'll probably be fine. If you wake up in the morning and still feel like hell, then it's probably the brain suffering from alcohol withdrawal. Doing another shot (if you can stomach it) will actually help. Taking supplements is a waste of time.

In February when I visited IU and realized that not only did I not know a single person in undergrad or grad school there anymore, but that I also didnt fit in at the bars anymore. I legit looked like the oldest person, and I was only 26 (27 in June).

That or when I coached my old schools middle school basketball team. Best player was in my moms pre-school class when I was in 8th grade...

Yep. Used to be able to do a thurs/fri/sat night at the bar and shake off the hangover by noon the next day.
Now it takes 2-4 days.
Once it took 5 days.

So therefor I dont get hammered much anymore..

In the past 9 months I've:

-Graduated college
-Started first full-time job
-Bought engagement ring and proposed (she said yes)
-Bought new house
-Bought new car

But I'm still mahfuckin young.

I think I will when my first child is born, which at this rate will happen next year.

I am not sure there has been one particular moment, but I definitely feel pretty old these days.

My ten year class reunion will be this summer (if it actually happens)..so that will suck.
My little brother and sister are 22, so they make me feel old on occasion.
I go to HS basketball games at my alma mater once in a while and it's to the point where I only know one kid on the entire team.
My hangovers have definitely gotten worse.

I am not quite 30, but this card is accurate.
