I won't post spoilers. But to the extent the tv show bricks on a plot development, I don't mind trying to explain it. No offense meant to the producers, but it is a herculean task to put the 3rd book to film, in 10 episodes or even 20 episodes.
The Brienne/Jaime situation could easily be almost an hour of film in itself, if not more. But due to the budget constraints they had to make do with what they have.

I kind of saw something like that coming, but it was still awesome.
I used to think she was nuts, but interestingly enough despite few people being of pure intentions (good or bad), she may actually be purely good (relatively speaking).
She's kind of a Jesus-figure in the sense that she seems nuts for her beliefs, but in actuality she's the real deal. (i.e. believing you'll survive a fire because you have dragon blood is only crazy if you don't have dragon blood).

I don't think I'm going to take on the herculean task of reading the books. So I appreciate additional context from the books, without giving anything away. Just watched all 5 episodes in the last 2 days. Show is so awesome. My only gripe, and its a small one, is that I find Daenarys storyline to be the most entertaining and interesting. But, she gets by far the least amount of screentime. I understand that she isnt as intertwined as the other plots, so thus the less time given and thats why its a small grip. Just sucks.

I'm also pretty convinced the guy who keeps getting tortured is just a really shitty actor EXCEPT for torture scenes. The director will only have him do torture scenes for here on out.

OK....spoiler alert to the answer:
Was the "dragon heads the size of an apple" important? Because that is about the size currently of Khaleesi's dragons. The whole "far east novelty" makes me think maybe she does have like miniature dragons.
