What this hire says is that everyone else said no.

As far as I can tell, the only willing candidate he beat out was Kareem. Lol.

I laughed my ass off at the quote from Alford about UCLA being THE premier program in college basketball. I know the guy has to have a good attitude about his own job, but deep down, he also has to know he's a few decades off.
