I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. He was making $157,000/year at fgcu and is reported to be making well over $1 million/year at USC.

He's already a multi-millionaire. He was a financial analyst or something and has a former model as a wife (presumably with him for the money)

Ah, I knew they were making a big deal about him, but I didn't really pay attention. I did google her for pics though (just now) and she is pretty smoking. Maybe not by Ohio Chatter standards, but still.

The wealth has apparently been overblown/debunked.

Not to mention, Ft. Myers area sucks ass. Nothing but retirees and spring breakers (for 6-8 weeks). Granted, still FLA and the beach. Not sure LA is an upgrade, though.

Where USC is located? Definitely not an upgrade.

Career-wise, it's a great move for Enfield. While USC isn't a great basketball job for a big-time coach, Enfield isn't a big-time coach and he formerly coached at Florida Gulf Coast. He was smart to take the million dollar contract and leave for the Pac 12 while his name was still hot. For somebody like Brad Stevens or Shaka Smart, leaving for USC is a huge risk and not a good move. But that's because those guys are already located at schools with respected basketball programs that compete nationally each year and could easily hold out for better hoops jobs.

If Enfield stays at FGCU and the Sea Turtles (or whatever their nickname is) never get to the NCAA Tournament again, he might have lost his one opportunity to land a million dollar job. Let's not forget that FGCU is in the Atlantic Sun, which is perennially a 15 and 16 seed conference. Getting into the NCAA Tournament from that conference is hard as hell, and winning a game or two as a 15 or 16 seed is near impossible.

Go Louisville and Go Syracuse....but yes, I'm not very interested. It's incredibly nice out and for me baseball has taken some of my interest.

They should finish the NCAA Championship on the 1st Monday of April

I share the disinterest, and Tribe baseball will have to fill the void 'til 8/29/13.

Yeah, I've lost pretty much all interest in the tournament. I almost forgot it was on today. But I do think that Michigan-Syracuse could be exciting.

It sucks only following one team. Fuck.

UM vs Syracuse should be a real good game. The other one I have a feeling will be a massacre

That's what I think. Which means at my friend's place tonight, there's a good chance we'll be seeing a good bit of the first six innings or so of the Tribe game. Since this one might be over at the half.

If you are inclined to believe in the patterns of history, in three previous trips to the Final Four, Jim Boeheim has reached the Monday night final every time. If it weren't for the heroics of Keith Smart, Boeheim might very well be coaching for his third national championship this weekend. Instead, Smart made the shot and Syracuse only has one title.

With another championship, Boeheim's legacy changes dramatically. This is a huge weekend for him.

Agreed. I'm excited for the game tonight. Tough matchup for Syracuse but I thought the last 2 (Indiana, Marquette) were so who knows. Should be a good game.

Jim Boeheim and Dean Smith fit the category of "wow, I just looked up his career numbers and am shocked how little he did with so much."

3 Final Fours in 35 years for Boeheim, before this year. Really?

Dean Smith coached for 36 years, probably had the most-talented team a dozen times, yet won 2 titles. 11 Final Four trips, 2 titles?
