Where do you think it grows from? I was just explaining the initial reasoning. Once a population isolates itself and decides to not trust another because they are different, the initial feelings of distrust can change over time. And I guess you would be right in saying that is society taught instead of instinct. But I think the original basis for these society taught feelings of superiority or hate are based off the instinct to not trust, so it is a behavior that we have to work to correct.sleeper;1396487 wrote:Distrust, sure; superiority? Perhaps if we focused on treating all people the same regardless of skin color, religion, gender, age, etc. we'd be much better off. But no, we have to have special categories for everyone; divide and conquer.
