I've been very close in other years (in 2005 all I needed was Arizona to close the deal with Illinois and I had $500 in my pocket ... I paced around the house after that game until morning. No exaggeration. I still hate Deron Williams and Luther ****--- Head), but usually Duke's string of Sweet 16 exits did a number on my productivity for years.

Even in the rare cases that I fill out a second bracket, I end up penciling Duke to the championship. It's a compulsion.
I used to do that with Indiana...picked them to win it about ever year from the late 80's for about 10 years....worked one time, 87, but that was it!

Finished in top 99.6% of ESPN back in 2001 and top 99.1% in 2005.

Haven't faired well since. Amazing how a job kills my ability to watch West Coast Conference basketball.

This is the first year my college bracket pool will be fun since I got here, because essentially everyone in it, (including myself) has just picked UK to win each of the past three years.

Also,
the odds of attaining a perfect bracket are 1 in 35,360,000,000. (Or, according to Book Of Odds, "almost 18 times worse than your odds of being killed by a waterspout in a year [1 in 1,988,000,000].")
