I'm going to have to say that nobody has a perfect bracket this year. I'll do my usual 2 for money and 2 for fun.

Actually, I think there was a perfect bracket submitted to ESPN's bracket challenge either last year or the year before. I could be wrong, but I believe the year that VCU got to the Final Four, somebody got a perfect score. I remember being astonished by that fact.

I let my 4 year old boy take out my bracket last year. He had 13 of the sweet 16 correct and he also had Ohio University beating North Carolina which was so close to happening.

I googled and found that only 2 out of 5.9 million entries predicted the correct Final Four that year (which is a pretty astonishing number). The winning bracket was not one of them.

I was off by a year. A person with autism picked a perfect ESPN bracket in 2010, when Butler amazed the country with its run to the title game. Just as, if not more impressive, than picking VCU to the Final Four, especially considering no team as small as Butler had ever been there before prior to 2010.

Of course, the person who picked it had no idea what the fuck he was picking.

He didn't either. He picked a perfect 1st 2 rounds. Which is still insane. Check the PDF. He had Purdue winning the title over Kansas State.

You're right, though. Still impressive. Guess I was misremembering. I must have got that confused with the two people who picked the Final Four correct in 2011.

Dude, no one has ever picked a perfect bracket. Show me someone with less than 5 losses and I'll show you someone who filled it out after the first weekend lol

A quick search shows that the best ESPN Bracket Challenge winner ever had just five losses, so five seems to be the demarcation line. So far.

I thought I remembered someone did it I must have heard wrong lol. It's crazy that no one gas done it though. You would think it has to of been done at some point

It is nearly impossible to do. Odds as Sleeper said, are astronomical. I dont think some of you get that lol. If this is ever done, it will get CRAZY coverage. He/she will be ALL OVER the place, probably make enough to live off of lol. Joey Brackets would probably be replaced...

I think if anyone ever picks a perfect bracket that no one outside of people who follow college basketball brackets will care lol. And that person would definitely never replace Joey Brackets, because, as you say, the odds of somebody doing that would have been astronomical. I wouldn't exactly call somebody who won the lottery a financial expert. Lol.

Think the best I ever did was 46-47 correct when I was really into it big time. The key really isnt to pick a ton of upsets really. If you do get some of the big upsets right it usually is offset by other factors. The best way is really to stick pretty close to what should happen. It may be fun to say you picked the 13 over a 4 but in reality it isnt a sound play because it isnt the best percentage, and when you get it wrong there is a good chance tha 4 seed wins a couple more games....and the rest of the people who dont pick it start to pull away.

Just saying.....

and oh yeah...saying "I picked that upset on one of my brackets" should be banned during tourney time. IF you make out ONE and ONLY ONE bracket then yeah...you can boast, but if you make out multiple ones then it really isnt that great of a feat to say you picked it.

The only time multiple brackets is allowed in my pool is when you pick a real one, and then you pick one where your favorite team wins...BUT...every other game MUST be the same.

If you are entering into ESPN, go ahead and do as many as you can to win the money...but pick ONE BRACKET to boast about.

The first thing I do in my bracket every year is pick my favorite team to win. That's why I only have won one bracket contest in my life. 2010. I've been very close in other years (in 2005 all I needed was Arizona to close the deal with Illinois and I had $500 in my pocket ... I paced around the house after that game until morning. No exaggeration. I still hate Deron Williams and Luther fuck--- Head), but usually Duke's string of Sweet 16 exits did a number on my productivity for years.

Even in the rare cases that I fill out a second bracket, I end up penciling Duke to the championship. It's a compulsion.

I guess I could accept that. Just always bugged me when people, and my brother is like that, would boast certain upsets on"ONE of his brackets.
